Can't imagine they'd go for one event without other shows surrounding it. I think they'll do both Australia and even some Japan late in the year.

Especially with the cost of getting down there, they might as well make it worth the while by doing a whole set of shows in the region.

The AFL Grand Final is on September 29 this year. Bon Jovi would typically tour here around December/January but who knows.

The Killers played the AFL GF last year and I think they did it as a one-off (they came back to tour Australia in April/May).

I'm hoping the GF rumour turns out to be false though...

I think it's confirmation on an Oz tour, not the AFL.

Thanks! I guess that would put the rumors about a new album and tour for 2019 in the dust, huh?

Do people think that this Australian leg will be better or worse than last time they were there? I rewatched some of the Brisbane stream from 2013 and it was depressing seeing how miserable Jon was up there. I'm hoping for more vocal improvement and a better all-round performance given higher levels of chemistry Phil now has with the band.

I don't think it was down to Phil's missing chemistry with the band, but Jon's depression had kicked in at that point.
Vocally it won't be that much better I fear. Yes, not as nasal as he sounded there, but in terms of hitting notes it will more or less be the same. However, in terms of being a front man and enjoying himself, it should definitely be better than the 2013 shows.

Well vocally it will be wayyyy worse .... but the vibe of the whole setup should be better. I pray to god they dont do the AFL grand final . Its something the whole of Australia will watch in high definition and I dont want my friends and family to hear how bad he sounds now . Especially after The Killers were soooo good at last years AFL performance. I will buy 1 ticket for Sydney if its a tour , unlike previous years where ive done multiple gigs . (That is unless RS makes an unexpected comeback)

Spot on.

Energy wise it'll be much better but vocally it will be tough to listen too.
