I may be biased but Pearl Jam gave me the best two nights of my life this summer, despite one show Eddie hardly having a voice, then cancelling the next show and having to reschedule. Spontaneity, tight playing, 2 1/2 hours + over 3 hours the second night, completely different sets.

I listened to 'Dry County' from Wembley '95 today. Oh to have the band back half as good as then!

this is plenty?
Springsteen-I dont want to comment-one thing only-his way of singing
Stones-same thing like Springsteen-its not singing,it is fast talking
AC DC are same pretty much in everything but let say it is fun
Metallica are very good but also in the world of heavy metal not even close to their past level
U2 are boring from album How to dismantle an atomic bomb.

Springsteen is one of the best song writers and storytellers ever. Not the best vocalist but his song writing, especially the lyrics, are just better than bon jovi. Metallica are still going strong and are doing very well. There's others people haven't mentioned either, Def Leppard etc

I agree about song writing but I dont like his singing and music,I am not fan of that american folk rock,Metallica is strong among heavy metal fans like Iron Maiden also,I listen old DL but there is statement - plenty of old bands and I mean popular old bands,we must be realistic.
I am not blind or deaf but BJ is still good(not great, not strong, not impressive),there are also couple of bands doing good and strong, little better than BJ but we must take years and years of BJ touring over the world, too many tours.

No, this is plenty:
Aerosmith
Bryan Adams
Paul McCartney
Ringo Starr
Eagles
Steve Miller
Elton John
Neil Young
Rod Stewart
Alice Cooper
Sting
Peter Gabriel
Blue Öyster Cult
The Doobie Brothers
Paul Rodgers
Jackson Browne
John Fogerty
Steely Dan
John Mellencamp
Willie Nelson
Elvis Costello
ZZ Top

The list is endless yet you're slamming Springsteen and the Stones for "their way of singing" but whatever the **** do you think Jon's doing nowadays?

You can't just go and make up categories for music when the whole point of the argument is to show that for whatever category there's plenty of bands still active on the same level they were 20 years ago. Plenty of acts I mentioned have a few years on Jon Bon Jovi yet sound 20 years younger.

Out of the entire list, when looking at a level of decline, Jon sounds the absolute worst as he just can't sing any line without default. But hey, if you disagree, show me a video of a live performance in which Jon sings a line both the original way, in key and in one breath. Just try to prove your point as opposed to slamming others for trying to explain theirs.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
