Nothing to argue about, though you're exeggerating a bit, but doesn't contradict what I said

Richie and Bon Jovi are done for good. At least for this part of the band’s history. Anyone who saw the Rock In Rio KTF performance knows that, Richie is gone, the chemistry between Jon and Phil isn’t the same nor it feels right but it is what it is. Richie won’t come back, the band is in a new era. Maybe a come back could happen during a farewell tour (if there will be one) but I doubt that even then he would be back.

Just because Richie's voice hasn't declined as sharply as Jon, doesn't mean he deserves the first statement to be used in present tense. RSO was a disaster from every perspective. The guy hasn't composed anything great in forever.

Richie hasn't been a great guitarist for years, maybe not even this century. I think his playing declined and Jon's voice declined from 2000 onwards, the signs are there on the Crush tour. Which decline is worse is debatable as Jon is front and center and his deterioration is more obvious. Like Jon's decline, Richie's fall in guitar is not debatable, it is demonstrable and those suggesting otherwise are just like Jon's mom brigade who do not see his failings.

The difference for me is which is more likely to pull it back together. I wouldn't go to see either of them on current/recent form, but I think Richie has more chance of recovering, so to speak. His decline in voice is not as drastic as Jon's and while his guitar playing decline is as drastic, all he needs to do (surely) is practise. Jon's situation seems terminal, for want of a better phrase.

I share this sentiment.

Just one correction - don't generalize it as the 'mom brigade' before rosa3 comes to claim that she's a single woman.

Have you heard aftermath? It's pure perfection... I agree that RSO was total disaster but it was definitely because of Orianthi. Can't wait for the new real Sambora album!
With that being said, Richie's voice sounds decent, unlike Jon's. He is singing a lot through nose and it's really irritating. Circle tour was by all means incredible(imho) and I would say that everything after that was just getting worse with the time.

What an eye roller of a statement. Praise Richie for Aftermath, bash Ori for RSO. His writing style is all over RSO, you can hear his turns of phrases, you can hear his guitar playing. They both had everything to do with it turning out like it did. I liked it but I'm not foolish enough to think it was an Ori project.

That's a bit over the top too, but there are some really great songs on Aftermath. To me stuff like You Can Only Get So High, Seven Years Gone and Learning How To Fly are some of the best stuff he's written. But that was 6 years ago now..

Having said that I really enjoyed both I Don't Want To Have To Need You Now and Forever All The Way from the RSO album, two totally Richie tracks. Take Me was very different for him, but I enjoyed that too, although I have to be in the right mood. it was nice to see him try something different.

Same boat, yeah. To me Learning How To Fly and You Can Only Get So High both had phenomenal lyrics in the verses but phoned in for the chorus. God I loved Aftermath though.

Forever All The Way is the most Richie sounding thing he's done in I don't know how many years.

It got close to having the TLFR sets on the HAND tour, those didn't work either.

Even for the ones he supposedly geared up he just couldn't wait for it to be over. 3 hour shows on full autopilot with a band trying to cope with a frontman who really didn't want to be there for most nights. No, those set were such a pretty good indication how quickly things had turned around after the 2011 tour.

How full of crap people can be sometimes...boredom I suppose 😸
Watch the first 30mins of the show on youtube, be great to see you go back on your words...never say never 🌞
