I can see them getting back to their original plans of touring with Bryan Adams. Though with Bryans dates already set for next year I could see that happening in 2025 at the earliest. Knowing Jon he'd try to get some more "current" acts that he's built some relations with over the years like Daughtry, Train, goo goo dolls etc... and keep it as a 'with special guests' thing. But other than that there's no one else besides the already mentioned DL, Journey that I could see them doing a co-headline tour with....

I can't see Jon going out with any Motley Crue types? Journey?

There's not a chance in Jons lifetime he would go for a co-headline tour, his ego is way to big for that. Plus the fact they don't need to as they will still sell out arenas and stadiums to at least 90% capacity on their own ..... The motley/ Lep tour in Europe especially in the UK was far from sold out. Look at Wembley stadium , not even 30,000 in attendance it was so embarrassing...As rough as jon may sound the tickets will still fly out of the door

the visual must be top in every aspect, richie should definetely join and jons voice should miracously return otherwise the press and the casual fan will butcher them

Some kind of residency would actually make the most sense to me.
I don't think Jon's voice will improve in any way. But having a residency would at least take away a lot of other stress. No traveling, family can be around, some kind of settled life, reduced crew, no need to play 5 shows a week. I mean, Billy Joel plays once a month at the MSG in New York. For 10 years now.
Doing something similiar - no matter in which extent - would make a lot of sense in my book.

I was talking about the US. The Leppard Motley tour was a huge success there. Jon will have noticed that.

I really don't think they have the power to sell out a big arena tour (in the US) or a big stadium tour (in the rest of the world) on their own at the moment. Their last album did nothing and news is out there - everyone knows that Jon's voice is shot following the last tour. And even in the last UK stadium there were half price tickets and 241 offers.

Jon knows that and he will be looking at options. I think marketing it as the big 40th anniversary tour is probably the way he will go. A residency would definitely make sense too. But I wouldn't rule out a joint headliner. If Jon wants to keep playing in the big venues then he will have to make some compromises somewhere along the line.

The visuals at the sphere would take peoples attention off of the band, which is a good thing if a) Jon's vocals are terrible or b) Jon wants to mime?

It's also a spectacle and will sell tickets in vegas no matter who is playing for the most part. So it's a no brainer really!

I wouldn't count of Richie being invited to these shows though.

Was amazed def leppard attempted to play wembley stadium as they never sold out o2 last they played it.
But from pics it was embarrassing. Seated on the pitch with loads of it cordoned off. If there was 30,000 id be amazed. Id have gone if Poison had come over but as usual they didnt play UK.

Bear in mind that they played Wembley AND the O2 on that run.

I think they thought that the added attraction of Motley would be enough, but it should have been an arena tour in UK rather than a Stadium. Motley were never that huge here.

Actually, there is. It's what they announced to do with Bryan Adams before Covid cancelled all.

I'm seeing a lot of articles about Bryan opening, not much about him co-headlining but for some reason that sounds vaguely familiar.
