In a full circle moment, opening band Mach 22, the winner of the group's opening band contest, performed a 20-minute set for the audience. The band features guitarist Sebastian LaBar, whose father, Jeff, was a member of Philadelphia metal legends Cinderella ("Shake Me," "Nobody's Fool"), who scored a record deal with Mercury/Polygram records after Jon Bon Jovi saw them at the Empire Rock Club and convinced his A&R man to check them out, leading to a record deal.
OMG That's ****ing Amazing !

My money was on MSG being the best shows on the tour... however from these vids Id say we have a contender!... You always want your idols and heros to be well and at their A game... that Bad Medicine for Bon Jovi 2017 was soooo fun to watch! Lets hope the energy and improvement continues!

Wow Jon had a great night. 1st set of videos I've actually enjoyed watching on YouTube this tour and wouldn't be embarrassed to share with someone who doesn't know the band very well. Jon was moving finally and on more than one song too...Even hit the key change (sort of) in prayer' to sound good. Haven't found a bad sounding video yet and I've been trying. Most of the set still isn't the greatest but best vocals yet this tour from start to finish. Really surprised he didn't go for Always or a big ballad, would've been a great night for it. Good job JBJ, band sounded tight.

And is it just me or does Huge McDonald look even more badass up there in his shades now that he's actually a band member?

Agree, he looks really cool in the shades and the black coat.

Late to the party but HOLY SHIT that Bad Medicine performance was spectacular!

Jon running around the stage, jumping into the crowd, doing the "one more time" bit twice...

THAT'S the charismatic front man that made Bon Jovi one of the best live bands for so many years.

Sooo good to see that guy back.

Maybe that’s the vibe Jon is going for… It wasn’t that smile, happy, colorful stage set that we are all used to seeing from Bon Jovi for the past 30 years… Again, not a pro or a con, just different…
(..) I felt like there was no flow to the show… Jon was just playing songs…. Maybe it was to fit that darker mood but there really weren’t any of those moments… The Fighter was very cool for the die-hards and I enjoyed Jon doing it that way but maybe a hit would have went over better… Like a plucking of NSG… I just felt like there was no personality to the flow of the songs… (hard to verbalize)
Thank you for those remarks, very interesting! I think nobody really pointed that out but it can't be a coincidence. The THINFS album does have its dark moments, too.

I don't think it's an angry dark... it's more of a darker mood like let's just focus on the songs... It's hard to verbalize...
