Default 5 highlights/dissapointments CircleTour2010

What do you think about this Tour?
When vanilla/autopilot was about to shatter all our dreams and hopes, Sydney stayed as the most surprising set (ever??)
I think there´s no need for the band to continue autopilot and yes!! they have to keep these 2-3 gems avery show, with different openers and main set every night

My 5 highlights

- Brokenpromiseland
- I Believe
- Something to believe in
- Dual solo of Thorn In My Side
- The Intro and the scenario... really cool!!

My 5 dissapointments

- excess of Vanilla/autopilot... total scorn to USA and Canadian fans
- playing WhoSays, CaptCrash, Sleep, BadMedicine and LH in excess
- lots of LH songs everynight... it seemed LH TOUR 2
- Prayer and Wanted in encore = 0 surprises almost every nights
- high prices (overall O2 arena)

Aloha !

Highlights:
1. Continuing return of passion in average setlists.
2. Return of some unexpected songs.
3. Something For The Pain being a regular.
4. Bad Medicine is a song to enjoy again.
5. The tour is an actual world tour and the band seems to be reaching out to fans.

Lowlights:
1. Ticket prices.
2. The promises of Jon and how most of it once again didn't come true.
3. Work For The Working Man and it's irony.
4. Jon's mood swings and auto pilot moves.
5. Giants Night 4.

It's been a weird tour this. It had all potential of being something really, really fun, yet a lot of the fun has been spoiled by Diamond Circle packages and other extraordinary ticket prices. And the fact that a certain city can get 5 rare songs and the next one won't get anything still doesn't get my approval.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Other than maybe number 4 (because I really only had one show where I had an issue with Jon's 'tude), I agree with you wholeheartedly, Seb. Very well summarized.

Highlights:

- As Seb has said, this tour is finally a "world tour" again. First to really deserve that title since 1995. 'twas about time.
- They actually played a major show without "Who Says You Can't Go Home". Lol
- The return of the impossible, even if some of it was shortlasting: Roulette, Shot Through The Heart, Only Lonely, Let it Rock, Homebound Train, I Believe, Something For The Pain, Letting You Go...
- The "anything can happen" feeling during the PBPs from the O2. Plus, "Always" & "Dry County" returning ain't a shocker anymore. Now bring on "Hey God" again!
- The pyros returned... if only for 3 shows.

Bonus: The stage. From youtube videos, it looks really cool!

Lowlights:
- The high amount of LH songs compared to loss of Circle songs since the O2. They always were proud of their new album and that's what always made me proud of them. I hate bands that play 2 songs off of their new album, and then just the old hits - it's like saying "I know, it sucks" (and in this case, it doesn't!!!). While BJ still play lots from their recent albums, playing just 2 Circle songs at some shows is ridiculous. Even more so because Jon loves the record!
- The unfairness of playing gems in certain places, and in others not.
- Richie skipping "Homebound Train" in favour of LYHOM
- Copy & paste setlists
- I would put "ticket prices", but it really doesn't affect me. My tickets for Munich and Vienna cost almost the same as in 2006 and 2008.

I haven't been to a show this tour so it'd be unfair to give my list but that is one in itself.

My two disappointments are having to sell my ticket due to having an exam, which really crushed me. And, besides that (you're all gonna guess but I don't care), the lack of love shown to 'Blaze Of Glory'. Yes, it's not a band song, and yes, it's been played a lot since Jon wrote it, but who cares? The song is God-like and deserves a staple place in the setlist more than a lot of songs which are.

My personal Highlights of the tour:

1. Seing DAMNED live. WOOO!
2. Meating 3 different people from this board, and going on a ten day road trip across Canada to see Bon Jovi with one of them.
3. Having at least 2 new songs I haven't seen live at every gig.
4. Seing Always live - Twice.... A song that I have always wanted since my first Bon Jovi gig, and even knowing at that time that I would probably never hear it... later on during the LH tour they finally started playing it properly live.
5. When I thought all hope was lost, I saw Loves The Only Rule on the final night of the road trip.

Dissapointments:

1. Having I Love This Town at 3/5 gigs.. All in the encore, therefore dampening my spirits at the end of every show.
2. Seing LYHOM with Richie all 5 nights. It was great in Edmonton where the performance was near flawless, but it usually wasn't a highlight for me, even though I love Richie to death.
3. Having my friend Brians mother calling me and yelling and getting pissed because we couldn't find parking at the Edmonton show. Boo-Hoo Brian, you missed Kid Rock...
4. House moms in front of us at the Winnipeg show.

Cant really think of anything else. Every single gig had something special in it and it really was one of the highlights of my life.

Heres to Europe 2011!

This was only my first Jovi concert, so my list is short..

Highlights....

The actual show. First show and it was awesome. Even with a shitty setlist.
Hearing Prayer and Always live. Bloody awesome.

Disappointments....

Not getting the decent songs like Sydney did. I'll never forgive him for doing NSG for Sydney but not for Melbourne.

Seating - I was 20 rows back from the stage and would have prefered to be closer. Don't think I got my monies worth seating wise.
WSYCGH - I like the song but now I know that Jon likes to overplay it, and it's a bit boring now.
LYHOM - stop Richie singing it. I want to hear Jon do it.

Sorry I don't have five. I can't think of anymore.

I'm a bit bummed in light of the last two show but here goes. I just want to say that as far as ticket prices go, as I recall nobody forced anybody to pay the prices that were put up.You paid for where you ended up sitting. Sorry, rant over.

Highlights
-Going to Boston, Mohegan Sun and Philly with friends from this board
-I'll Be There For You with Jon back on lead
-Jon's hand grab during Love's The Only Rule-yes I can be that girl
-Only Lonely in Philly
-Hearing at least Thorn and Happy Now

Dissapointments
I agree with many of Seb's points but here's mine

-Not enough Circle Songs with too much of LH
-Captain Crash at many of my shows
-Full albums were never played
-Favoring other countries besides their own
-Not being able to go to Europe this summer

Same thing happened to me. I wanted to see them in Paris this summer and celebrate my birthday at the same time (which was the next day), but then I had two of my final exams just days after it. Sold the ticket and watched the whole show on youtube the other day. They played "Let It Rock". Dammit!!!
