very well said, Ma'am! there are things which were almost impossible to make up and yet, they've become reality. Jon had two ways out: call it quits or carry on and both of them were sort of dead ends... often magic happens with two elements falling into place and as it happened with many bands/duos, BJ has learnt it hard way. you just can't dislike Phil, he's so likeable, funny and talented it hurts BUT he's not damn Richie and no matter how much we can undermine Richie's role in the band, he's missed on so many levels that BJ can't ever be the same... I've tried to listen to live shows and Phil's solos and they don't have that X factor to me at all! it all sounds shallow and empty and somehow distant to me... we tend to get used to certain people and places and the way they make us feel so if you cared even once, you won't be able to forget it...

Holy ****, Jon sounded pretty damn amazing back then. I find that 2008 doesn't get the credit it deserves in Jovi history. Especially the later part of the NA leg as well as the European leg, esepcially the European leg. The Circle Tour/Greatest Hits Tour was great as well but I think the Europe leg 2008 was the last time I honestly can say that Bon Jovi sounded amazing. Somehow Jon reached a vocal level where he could pretty much could belt out any track of the entire Jovi catalogue. I could give pretty much anything to have that Jon back.

Well, I can remember the Frankfurt 2008 show, if I think about These Days and Damned and a passionate Bed Of Roses, I'm still getting shivers down my spine. It was epic.

It deserves to be posted so those who haven't seen it witness how awesome this band actually were not that long ago (well, almost 10 years but still).

Listen to the third verse, he does the "I guess I'd rather die than fade away" like he did in the 90s, as well as going for the "no, no, no" in the chorus. It's just mindblowing. I will never truly understand what happend to Jon from the pretty poor opening nights vocal wise in Prudential Center in 2007 to the Europe leg of 2008.
I'm glad Jovi are still playing today and that Jon gives his all even though it sounds so-so, but after watching this one and Bed of Roses from the same show you can't help but feeling a little devestated. It's not the same, it's not even 10 % of what it was less than 10 years ago. I never got to see Jovi during the 90s, but nowadays I can't believe how lucky I am that got to see the band at their last peak, because after the final note in Lisbon 2011 it would never be the same again. Never.

Agreed but still looking for that note or song that will shivers down my spine. Saw 5 shows on the WAN tour, and I still love all the Love is the only rule versions.

The Lost Highway tour was indeed the last truly inspired and vocally unstoppable Jon we saw.

I remember watching him in Coventry on a Tuesday night, which wasn't a particularly big show compared to the European biggies like London, Dublin, Munich etc but Jon was giving 100% with this kind of godly ease. It was like he had everything under his control, the crowd, the band and most importantly his voice.

Can anyone find an autopilot Jon on the LH tour? He was nailing it night after night.

And let's not forget Richie was clean and belting out a solo song every night.

What's happened since is nothing short of sad.
