If I never had to hear that song in any form ever again, I'd be okay with that.

It's actually not that terrible, but seeing it open on this tour really killed the mood from the beginning. In addition to the rarities, I'm jealous that some European fans didn't have to hear it while it was played at virtually every US show. Like stated above, if they only played it once and a while I wouldn't mind it as much.

I don't have a problem with it as an opener. I think it's a rather good choice for an opening song because it's like they're inviting the audience to go on a trip with them for the next 2.5 hours.

Yeah I do think it needs to just be rotated. Also, I'm proud to have been the only US show (Vegas 2011) this tour not to have gotten it, even though it was printed on the set.

As others have said, it's an alright opener. But it was in 2008. Let's have something new. It seems lazy just to recycle the opener on back to back tours.

Agreed. I like the song and enjoy it live but it should be retired from opening for a good long while.

As for the larger question of should every album be represented, I think so. Now we're on the open air/greatest hits tour especially, it would be nice to see. Even Bounce!

If you're referring to the extended hits after the guitar solo, they did perform that at Murrayfield.

Agreed.

About "Lost Highway": I really really like that song. This and "Make A Memory" are modern BJ classics to me. I never got "Make A Memory" live yet, so I really hope I'll get it once. As Jon decided not to play ANY LH material in Munich I can't say how I would've liked to hear LH or WLOL or WGIGO again, but I definitely wouldn't mind one ore two of them at a show.

But PLEASE, not more LH songs than Circle songs on the Circle tour. And also PLEASE, don't open with LH: As good as it is, it's just not a good opener for a rock show. It was OK as an opener of the tour of the same name, but not this time around.

I agree that Bounce songs should be back on the list. And at least one TD song should be played every night, just because it makes a show so much better.

I agree it shouldn't be an opener. Personally I never really sit down and listen to LH, but if it pops up during a show of course I wouldnt' mind it.
As someone else said, theres not too many songs I'd go "Noooooooooo" during a show.

However, theres so many songs i'd prefer instead of those ones I don't come back to or put in an mp3 playlist on purpose. I'd rather have Only Lonely or Always run to you...those are amazing songs.

Aloha !

If you are so concerned about every album needing to be represented then Lost Highway would currently be one of the last songs I'd worry about. The Bounce record was a much bigger succes. As for the title track representing the album really well, I disagree. Most of the album is more in the veign of the lead single than it is in the veign of that title track.

Just like (You Want To) Make A Memory doesn't belong in a rock show. A good percentage of the setlist nowadays is filled with songs that don't belong in there. And if I needed to chose between those two, Lost Highway gets my vote.

It's not really a bad song, but just terribly overplayed. Would it show up just as much as a song like Just Older does I'd have no problem with it, but now it's always played whenever Jon feels like he needs a few more fillers in the set.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

It's not that bad as an opening song, I agree. In fact, if they have to play it at all, then I'd prefer for the song to be played as an opener. That way I'd know it won't pop up any more.

That said though, they have written a fair share of BRILLIANT opening songs (RYH, OWN, IB) and I absolutely cannot see the point of opening a rock show with such a mediocre song that many casuals don't even know (yes, even though it was on the GH record).
