There are no slots for new songs either, a regular Bon Jovi set has at least 5 new songs, the last tour being the exception due to the album tanking beyond belief.

Salaam Aleikum,

I think Jon has killed the flow of the show in recent tours with putting MOR snooze fests in 3rd or 4th place. Lost Highway or WWBTF just don't cut it in that spot and they instantly kill the vibe.

IMO you should start and end with your most high energy numbers.

As much as I like 'Lost Highway' I agree.

The likes of 'Whole Lot Of Leaving' and 'In These Arms' were coming after the likes of 'Born To Be My Baby'/'You Give Love A Bad Name' yet one or two fast-paced numbers were needed to keep things energetic. Especially on rainy days in the UK

Indeed.

I don't even think they enjoy playing those kind of numbers, you can see Jon's eye's glazing over. They must feel the energy drop like a stone. Tis a strange one...

Agreed. Opening with "Happy Now" for instance was a truly bad choice, as good as the song is, definitely it's not a good opener. Homebound Train would be an excellent opener, and a big surprise to all fans... not gonna happen though.

Yeah, but do you honestly think that at this point of their careers, they're gonna have an album that's gonna do much better commercially than The Circle? I don't think so. Or will from now on Jovi only play 2-3 new songs every night?

Let me say that I don't mean this to piss you off, but your setlist is flawed. If they did what you're saying there's no point in moving around slot 1, 20 or 24. You'd get the three songs anyway. The big ballad comes in way too early, and making a specific slot for a rare song yet adding Hey God and One Wild Night to the same set doesn't really make sense either, does it? And on top of that, if Jon would sing a set like that 3 shows in a row you'd be getting piss poor shows for the rest of the tour due to his voice being shot to bits.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
No, your comments are fair, to be honest i wrote that after I had, had one too many beers. Looking back at it that is more of a setlist I would personally want and not a setlist I think would ever have a chance of actually ever happening!

In my opinion this setlist would be great...

1. Something To Believe In (/Rockin' In The Free World)
2. It's My Life
3. Wild In The Streets
4. Hey God (/Next 100 Years /I Believe)
5. Undivided
6. Always (/Bed Of Roses /Livin' In Sin)
7. One Wild Night
8. Runaway (/I'd Die For You)
9. Thorn In My Side
10. Wanted Dead Or Alive
11. We Got It Going On
12. Learning How To Fly / Homebound Train (Richie Sambora)
13. Livin' On A Prayer
14. In These Arms (/Someday I'll Be Saturday Night)
15. Have A Nice Day (/Just Older /Any Other Day)
16. This Ain't A Lovesong (/I'll Be There For You /Make A Memory)
17. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (+cover)
18. Raise Your Hands

19. You Give Love A Bad Name
20. Dry County (/These Days /Brokenpromiseland /Love's The Only Rule)
21. Born To Be My Baby
22. Bad Medicine (+cover)

23. Lay Your Hands On Me (/Let It Rock /Last Man Standing)
24. Keep The Faith

Very strong to be fair. Not sure about Something to believe in, though. It has to be a powerful starter to make the crowd go mental. 10 years ago I'd have said Prayer, I Believe, Lay Your Hands, but now those can't be performed as effectively as they used to be. Free World would be a corker. Also would Not Fade Away like they did in NCY.
