That's a setlist I certainly would take any day!

I salute you,

Free World would be a corker. Also would Not Fade Away like they did in NCY.
'Something To Believe In' would be a strong opener. Booming drums to begin, a singalong with the 'hey-heys' and Jon (hopefully) going all out in the high parts. After the hey-heys at the end, kick into 'Bad Name'/'It's My Life'/'Have A Nice Day' and then the party starts. Nice to see Story-of-my-life agree with me as I think he's the only one

Something To Believe In would be quitte the anti climax as for openers. Your booming drums story sounds nice but it'd never work. They're not some band in which an audience is waiting silently for the band to show up.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Ummm.. High energy. Not Lost Highway. Not Happy Now.

Raise Your Hands really really works well as an opener.

It does. Great crowd interaction too.

Something to Believe In could work if it was a popular song by them. But it's not. It's an unknown song to the casuals, plus a slower song. It would be cool for them to try, but it wouldn't go over all that well.

How cool would Runaway be as an opener?

Yeah it really would. Their first proper hit, its fast, rocky and energetic. They would need some kind of long intro to punk it up. Just coming on stage and David banging out A-minor chords may not suffice!

Imagine a video on the big-screen as the intro, with some epic images of them over the last three decades: from the most recent ones to the earliest days: then the lights go down and David starts "Runaway".
It could be GREAT!
