My vote goes to either I Believe or Tokyo Road, both things that'll most likely never happen.

I Believe would be absolutely fantastic. Tokyo Road would send me to the beer lines. As for Army Of One I hope quite the opposite. If they don't play it in Buffalo i'll be disappointed.

Tokyo Road (dream)

Raise Your Hands is a great opener but it's been done to death now. I'd like to see a theatrical opening like LYHOM in the 90's with the brass band.

Blood on Blood is great and I voted for it. But Prayer would be even better. They should definitely go back to it.

So you'd rather some tepid new song over a rocking old one?

Post 2000 fan alert.

I'd be fine with plenty of rocking old ones. Tokyo Road however is not a rocking old one. I've never understood peoples fascination with it. It's not even in the top half of 7800 in my opinion.

Tokyo Road rocks harder than pretty much anything they've released since 2000. It'd be a quality opener and has everything a rock song needs. A great lick, good guitarsolo, some things where Jon can show his pipes and great build up to a chorus, plus plenty of opportunity near the end to jam. If Tokyo Road isn't a rock song I don't know what is. Army Of One certainly isn't one, that's for sure.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

There are 7 other songs off of 7800 i'd rather hear live than Tokyo Road. The only 2 i'd take it over are King Of The Mountain and To The Fire.

I’d love ‘I Believe’ open the shows but it’s rather impossible. From the other older tracks I’d choose ‘One Wild Night’. I also thought that BrokenPromiseland would be a great opener but I guess we should be more than happy if it’s played just once during whole tour, that would be a huge surprise anyway, not to mention opening each show with it. I would never want ‘Prayer’ open the show.
Since I haven’t heard any of the new songs I can’t pick any of them. If there is a great rocker in there (I believe there is) it might also be a good option.

It's an upbeat sleazy rock and roll song with a brilliant solo and overall great musicianship from the whole band. I'm not sure they could pull it off anywhere near as well as they did here - but I'd still love to see it.
