Can't really make my mind up about this... Before the BBC show, I wanted them to open with a new one. Now I'm not so sure. Army of One to me isn't strong enough to be an opener. That's What the Water Made Me would work great in that spot, but I like it too much and I prefer looking forward to it for a while instead of just getting over with it in the beginning. Then I thought of Because We Can, just to get rid of it ASAP, but I like the openers that get me pumped, so that one's out too.

I Believe, Prayer and Tokyo Road all sound good to me. Keep the Faith as an opener - hell no, I want it at the end.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Tokyo Road opening the show. So I'm voting other old song. For now.

They should go with a slow, atmospheric song and then blast it away with something like 'Have A Nice Day' or 'Hey God' straight after. Never going to happen I know but I've seen some bands adopt that type of approach and it works well.

Well, I didn't like Blood on Blood as an opener because the song loses it's magic, I believe that is a better song for an encore.

Well, for an opener I'd like Bounce or One Wild Night (the 2001 version, as is faster and it suits better for an opener).

I Believe would be great! Is intimate and i can imagine the video ending and the guitar (parampampararam) starting, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Lay Your Hands On Me would be another good choice, as Richie won't be singing it anymore.

I don't se Raise Your Hands as a good opener, but I can picture it as one of the first 5 songs played. Also, Jon voice ruins the song, they should kick it off the setlist.

Also, I like a lot Tokyo Road but I don't see it as an opener. I'd love if it could earn a place on the setlist as it sounds pretty good here:
Lost Highway is the worst opener ever. Period. And Keep The Faith? Sorry. No.

It is the same tempo, just with stuff cut out. And the album version was the one that opened shows in 2000 and 2001, and I would say that it worked pretty damn well.

In reference to that video, is there a version out there without the intro and outro cut out with fades?

If that's how it's going to sound then I don't like it as an opener, it should go with the intro on the middle of the setlist like on the DVD "The Crush Tour".
I like more the 2011 version because the cutted off stuff make it faster, you don't have than unnecesary pause between "So I stop to give her a light" and the chorus. I don't know, I just listen both versions and the 2001 one seems more suitable as an opener.

Problem is, it's like eating the cherry off of a sundae first.

Said it before - Don't understand for the life of me why they don't open with Have A Nice Day.

-The crowd knows it.
-The crowd likes it.
-It's full of energy right from the start.
-It has a sudden end as opposed to fading out.
-It rocks.
-It makes sense as an opener.

Then kick into Raise Your Hands or I'd Die For You. Crowd would go nuts.
