A thought about lead and backing vocals

yes I think it is exactly that but I was wondering why is there Jon vocals recorded

Since the most of their songs start with Tico's fours and taking under consideration the technology of today in syncing, it's pretty plausible for them to use many backing tracks along with the live instruments. (Do you remember Jon's speech before Last Man Standing about the Real Band that Really Sings? Well, I'm not 100% sure anymore).

that's exactly why I was shocked that day I am a quite naive person when it comes to music - they tell me we are truly live and we truly sing so I believed them

that's the part but I was there and you hear Jon sing and David NOT singing and realizing it and try to hide it you can hear Jon on my video and you can also hear someone singing while he is NOT singing


I am putting the video on mega but it's very slow (but as I can see my recording is not unique other ppl were at that show OBVIOUSLY )


the thing about that video is the SURPRISE it was for Dave and for Jon to skip it SO they forgot the recording it was not planned

I don't fault Jon for this. He's just backing himself up and not necessarily lip syncing it. It's not really noticeable throughout the entire song either so it's isolated. I think we had a recent discovery similar with Prayer too.

You would think that a backing track might sound a little more polished though.... It sounded a bit rough....It sounds like that same AAAAAAAAAAA note that he holds in Hallelujah.

I wounder what and who triggers that. It didn't occur to anyone not to trigger Jon's vocals when they found out he wasn't singing.
