Seriously, could you not explain your views in a less irritating manner? Do you realise how badly you come across? We're on the same page about a lot of things, and yet people don't take up issue with my views. Ever wondered why that is? Do you have some sort of anti-social behaviour disorder?

Exactly, I mean, I'm all for healthy debate. It's what the board is for. If you asked every member of this board to list their favourite Bon Jovi songs we'd all come up with different answers - and not one of them is actually the "right" answer. While I hate She's A Mystery with a passion, someone else might love it to death. And my absolute conviction that The Circle is up there as an album alongside These Days isn't shared by most people. It's all about perspective. Yet you're listing of opinions as if they were facts. I prefer Jon's voice as he gets older because he no longer sounds like Mickey Mouse on steroids. He might not have that raw power anymore, though we've certainly saw a few glimpses of it, but has a lot more resonance. I think the songwriting for the most part has matured considerably, because, well, it had to.

Jungleland I suspect you hold up the '89 shows you saw as like, the holy grail, because it was something so special to you at that point in time. Maybe it wasn't even all about the shows, but maybe the experience you had alongside it (like to me the ultimate show I've ever been to was Shepard's Bush in '02 and that had nothing to do with the band's performance - but I see it in a much better light because of a lot of things that happened that night), and so anything else just pales in comparison. Maybe its just you have this ideal from your youth, because you still seem to idolise the bands from that time. You seem to have a thing for Seb as well - some sort of hard on, or something - I dunno. He also presents his opinions as hard facts, which is annoying as hell but he manages to say it in such a way that it makes me listen and consider where he's coming from. In the end, we practically never agree, but that's okay. I have respect for his opinion, whilst we both know what I believe and what he believes couldn't be further apart. My signature isn't a way of attacking him and he knows that full well. What's really bugging me is on some of your recent posts we were really getting somewhere - but then your train seems to have crashed off of the rails. It's a damn shame.

I do think Blood on Blood from 1989 is better than BOB from 2010, but I don't think Lay Your Hands On Me is (I think it sounded like Hell in 89). Each song is different and that's a fact. Jon's age has played a factor in his energy, but he still has it and from song to song, the performance changes. Some were better then and I think some are better now. Those 1996 setlists were not the songs they played in America. To call the Circle tour a disappointment is B.S. The people here that have seen the show don't seem to think so. I know I don't. It kicked my ass... it was awesome and it will do the same for Europe.

I won't reply to him anymore either. I did have fun pointing out all of his inaccuracies and basically breaking down his arguments into nothing. I won! You won! Everyone else won! Woo ha!
I personally prefer every version of a song from 1989 to the recent ones. Everyone has connected 80s with Jon's terrible voice but it is not true. He has a terrible voice on the SWW tour but on Jersey he sounded fine. Not fine, great! I love the way they played their shows back then and I agree with jungleland that they were on the top. I prefer the Jersey tour to the 90s tours even if they played shorter shows with almost same setlist every night (there were about two ot three changes from shoe to show).
However, this does not mean I don't like what they are doing now. It won't be as great anymore but considering their age, what they have done, how many shows they've played etc. I'm very disappointed with the non-changing setlist because I'd like to see this particular setlist only once but I can't anything with it. And it is very easy to slag something completely. And his problems is the way he started to present his opinions - spamming threads and argueing with everybody is not a good way.

Tesla was mention - ****in' awesome band!! I love their music and I think it i snot easy to sing at all! And I must admit that Jeff Keith sounds really good live. BUT, they were as big as Bon Jovi, never did so long tours and from 1995and they also took a longer break in the 90s. And where they are now? Playing clubs and small venues and the setlist are shorter and changing much. But their music is really great and I love them!

Jesus ****in' Christ.

It's like you see Seb's name and you got a hard-on over it, then you try and cover it up with a lame-ass, pointless insult that bares no relevence to anything in the conversation.

Sweet dude! I have my opinions, but I have no problem with a different one. I think during the Jersey tour we saw the first of what Jon actually became as a singer. During Slippery, I think he just tried to match the album and while doing it, blew his voice out. I guess you could just say he wasn't singing technically correct. During the Jersey tour, he had way more consistency! I do think Lay Your Hands on Me from that era was terrible though... he sounding like he just sucked on a helium balloon if you ask me, ha. I think the KTF tour was amazing, as was These Days. I do think on the TC tour he's stepped up his game, effort-wise because he does recognize he's had problems over the years. I think right now, Living on a Prayer sounds better too. This is where I'm a nerd, but he's doing the "live for the fight when that's all that you got" these past few shows with the exact vocal pattern of the original. He used to always pause after "fight." It's a lame thing, I know, but it makes me happy. I think he's singing VERY strongly now, as in, when he's holding a note I don't think he's about to lose his voice, or break. From Crush to the Lost highway era I literally would get nervous when he "went for it."

Hard to explain my views. I certainly don't nutswing on everything they do, but there are definitely moments from now I like more than then, both on record and live. And I do think they band is much less sloppy now. Watch Prayer from Moscow... sure, Jon hits the notes, but the band sounds sloppy. Yet, they KILL IT on Blood and Blood and Wanted.

Ahh well! To each his own. I do like Tesla, by the way.
