I cannot understand why so many people here are dissapointed that Jon is no longer running as he used to. He is a singer, not an acrobat! His basic task is to give us good vocals and to make a good show. Good show does not necessarily mean running like crazy! If he sings better provided that he focusses on vocals rather than on running and jumping I prefer him to be more static.
besides, even if he does not jump so much he still moves a lot! I bet that half of the fans here who are in their twenties or early thirties would pant and gasp for air if they did that much aerobics as he does on stage! Compaunded with the fact that he does it for 2 plus hours and he sings at the same time.

You know why? He saw himself in the documentary after it was made and was disgusted with his moods His comment was "I wish I smiled more"))) I sometimes think it would be a good thing to follow my own father with a camera and show him the video afterwards. Maybe the outcome would be as good))

Have a great time and enjoy the shows!!!

It's good to know. Those shots are really good, given the fact the light level is so low indoors and that it's not a DSLR. Thanks for the short review of the camera

He was plenty energetic at the 4 shows I saw and the last time I saw Steven Tyler he was glued to his mic stand and Mick prances he doesn't run and he doesn't do 21/2 hours either. Can't speak about PS haven't seen Kiss in 20 years.
I think the vids you have seen are deceptive, he does get around alot throughout the night. He stays put for the first 2 or 3 but after that it's whatever he feels like.

Thank you for your kind words. I'd still give Jonny a good talking to about setlists if I ever got the chance , but I can't deny that I've had a great time at all of my shows so far on this tour. There's been no autopilot and no pissed off Jon anywhere to be seen. Those are the 2 things that will send me over the edge. On the last tour, I saw Jon totally shut down when something went wrong. The Jon I've seen this tour is happy, into his performance, passionate and ready to go. Would I like some different songs?? Sure I'm a diehard and I love rares, but I had a great time at the four I saw, the performances were awesome , Jon was in great voice and the band sounds awesome!! Can't ask for more than that. I'm done till summer now so have fun!!

I think this is nothing new, I noticed that the band uses the full set up for newer songs in every tour. THey need something to grab people's attention for the newer songs. They don't have to do the same for the classics.

Actually, I'm pretty sure they do use the robotic screens in WWBTF. They don't do the the really fancy stuff until later, but aren't the screens behind the band in these pics the ones that the robots control?

Jon's vocals > Jon moving around the stage IMO.

Default stage

let's wait for proper stadium stage...i think it may be the best in years....but arena stage is very very similiar to LH tour stage so I dont like it...although light show has improved
