Trust me - It went around the ENTIRE arena.

yep it did - but it has nothing to do with the round U2 catwalk - so what you are trying to say? Obviously you have been to a BJ show back then but not to a U2 show!

I saw U2 on the 360* Tour, awesome show. But they play the SAME setlist every single night (to the point where I believe Bon Jovi have already played more songs on this tour, crappy setlists and all, than the 360 Tour has gotten) yet you praise them, and continuously rip Bon Jovi for it.

Evidence? Cause I haven't read a single negative review from anyone who's actually seen a show.

Yeah, I had high hopes.... but the show I was at was pretty pathetic. The most memorable part was having to get off the bus full of fans to puke.

Like we've already discussed - U2 were atrocious when I saw them. They wouldn't even rate as a Golf, more a decrepit old Russian Lada. Seriously, they now rank as possibly the worst live band of that kind of stature I've seen - the Chilli's blew them away, REM even blew them away and I didn't enjoy that gig very much. U2 were mediocre, at times bland, even the edge doing a guitar solo just about put me to sleep.

When you only compare the stage and the production, you're right. But then you have to mind that you're comparing arena and stadium shows.

When you compare the music and the live performance, it depends on your personal taste.
I've seen a preview of the new U2 DVD and for me Bono sounds terrible. In my opinion Bon Jovi deliver a much better live performance.

I haven't seen U2 live, but this snippet sounds really bad. No question, it's a great stage show but come on... you can't say that Bono sounds good. Most of the time he is completely out of key and out of breath. It doesn't fit to the clear U2 sound.
When I listen to Bruce for example it's ok, if he sometimes struggles with the vocals because the whole music of the E-Street-Band is very rough and powerful.

Bono out of Key ??? check your ears
Based on that clip alone, I would say that Bono was a bit on the sharp side vocally, not completely out of key but getting close and that he wasn't in great tour voice or shape yet. Would it stop me from seeing a show?? No, but I have to say the last two times I've seen them the shows have been good not great. Bono's falsetto sucked the first time, (he may have been ill or whatever) and the last time the show just seemed subdued, less passion in it than I have seen in the past. I'm a very casual U2 fan, I see them every tour because I have a friend that is a massive fan and drags me to see them.
I'm not sure why it's embarassing that Jon lowers the key for songs he wrote 25 years ago so he can sing them well. I guess you would rather hear him struggle with notes, miss them and sound like crap? Why would he want to go out and do that every night??
