Default About the live thread - Jon read this!!

Think I will stick this on the Facebook site as well but here are a few points I have regarding the shows so far judging by the set lists and the performance I saw last night on the live feed to the internet!

Firstly, it was fantastic to see the band playing live and i cannot wait to see you in the O2 on saturday 19th June! However, i want an electric performance with a few acoustic songs playing 6 or 7 songs from the Circle, after all, it is teh album you are touring!

1. Play Thorn in My side and most definitely Loves the Only Rule every show - fantastic live

2. Lose the Captain Crash and Sleep when im dead, I have heard them so many times and although I loved the covers in Sleep last tour, these should not be replacing either a Circle song or even better, an old classic rarity!

3. Find those old songs again - Roulette, shot through the heart etc.....there are others out there too!!

4. Jon - quit playing the guitar so much, you are the front man who energy and movement is key to the show. Last night I watched you play guitar for the majority of teh 10 songs shown

5. Blood on blood is okay for an opener but it doesnt get you going when Jon is on guitar. Last Man standing working cos of its opening and Jon standing in the crowd. You are playing too many songs with you on guitar at the start

6. Superman tonight needs to sound like the album. Last night it was weak. On the album its epic, really powerful, last night it seemed toned down and low key.#

7. If you choose to live stream again, can we hear the audience too please, not just at the end of the song but all through it. There is no atmosphere in the stream.

8. Love we got it going on. If you insist on Lost Highway make it and one other the only ones you play from it.

9. Remember Hugh!!! He is more part of the 5 than Bobby!!

10. Have a nice day has a number of songs you could play off it

11. Where are the Bounce and These Days songs??? Yep, I know, something for the pain is there but how about Hey God to open!!! Undivided is very powerful somewhere in the set and even Bounce is a rocking song. get rid of Who says, it is dire!

12. Extend out Born to be my baby like in the year 2000-2001 tours with the naaa naaa's!!!

13. I am not goin to say swap the set around as i realise that its all programmed in with the lights etc (though programmes can be changed!!!) but in the slots that can be mixed up, mix them up for crying out loud!! You are a rock star with a huge catalogue, not McFly and one shitty album which you play over and over!!!

14. Finally, get back to the 28/29 song set lists!!! This will be my Gfr's first show in June and I have harped on so much at how ace you guys are and how long the shows are, dont let me down please! If you need help with your set list, give me a shout!!! - oh, and give us a decent support band, not Razorlight or The Feeling!!!!

Thanks

Great post. I especially love the first 3 points. That being said, don't count on any of this happening.

Jon playing guitar has shit all to do with the shows energy. He doesn't give out those aerobic instructor moves performances since the Bounce tour, and frankly he shouldn't the dude's 48 years old.

Indeed, Javier!

besides - why all these points are based only on claims???

No good points about the show? No positives? No compliments to Jon and the band for giving a brilliant show and doing a good job?
Jon's vocals improved this tour, he looks great, his body movements are energetic and harmonios. I do not need him to jump or run. I do not need him to sing particular songs that some diehards have a whim to listen to. Anything they will deliver is a great stuff! Why making a different setlist than this very one?

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Jon won't read it though.

It's nothing that hasn't been said before..

I think mixing it up more, making it more unpredictable and adding new songs all the time would be enough.

For once I actually agree but keep dreaming about most of them. I think that Jon is not hiding behind the guitar, I think he enjoys it, quite frankly. They need to change things up when they get to the stadiums.

I agree that he's playing guitar in too many songs, but I wouldnt like him to quit his solos (when he does them), like last night's Sleep when I'm dead...

He could play guitar on every song. I couldn't care less.

Just play songs that deserve to be played. They're not playing many at the minute, to be honest.
