When Tina Turner came to play in Finland in the mid-90s, the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, with a capacity of some 40 000 to 50 000 people, was sold out. When Michael Jackson came to play at the Olympic Stadium, the venue sold out in record-breaking time. When the Rolling Stones came to play at the Olympic Stadium in 1995 (?) and again in 1998, the venue was sold out in record-breaking time for both shows. When U2 came to play at the Olympic Stadium, the old records were broken again and the venue sold out. And now, when Bruce Springsteen will be making his first ever appearances in Finland next June, the Olympic Stadium was sold out twice, the first one in the absolute record-breaking time of roughly 3 hours with a 12-ticket limit per person (the previous "big name" shows had no ticket limitations and firms, though not private customers, could pre-reserve dozens or even hundreds of tickets).

When Bon Jovi came to play at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki in 1996, they managed to sell some 25 000 to 30 000 tickets. And that was at the end of the These Days Tour, when the band's popularity was at its highest since the 1980s.

In other words, Bon Jovi cannot sell out a stadium here. And I think the same is true for Sweden as well. They can sell out the arenas, they've done it already in the past. But obviously that's not good enuff for them anymore.

As I look back, I see that Bon Jovi have played in Finland on Fahrenheit, SWW,NJ,KTF,TD & Crush tours. But the two recent tours..no dates in Finland. I can live with the fact that the band is not playing in my country. But when I saw that they don't play in Scandinavia, it didn't felt too good.

When Jon said in many interviews that they will do a world tour this time. Of course it raised my expectations for the upcoming tour. Bon Jovi is doing a "big" tour=they are coming to Finland (Or atleast to Scandinavia). But when I saw the first tour dates, I was really disapointed. When they released the second bunch of the tour dates. I felt betrayed.

Since Crush was such a huge sucsess and they did extensive tour. So of course, I thought that they will do the same with Bounce. But no.. they desided to be an American Rock & Roll band. Yes, the American leg is extensive, but the European leg is more or less a Joke. I can't even image how bad people feel in Latin America.

I think it easy for those people who always have loads of tour dates in their country to say that we are spoiled. Well think about it, How would it make you feel to see that your favourite band is not playing anywhere near your own country?

When I look the tour dates & the venues in Europe. The "tour" begins on May 25th and it ends on June 28th. They play in big Stadiums in middle Europe and in England. Money talks. Short tour, Big Stadiums.. are they really that lazy?

it would seem so unfortunately...

despite what some people have said there is more money in europe than US - families can come on the road with them if they like... however big the tour would be it's not like in the 80s where they didn't rest for 2 years...

50,000 in a stadium is going to bring in more money than 14,000 in an arena...
