Are you sure about that? I thought there was a slight overlap between Robbie's tour starting and BJ's ending?
That's at least what someone told me who is married to a sound technician who works for BJ and Robbie.

Compared to America we only get really less dates here in Europe, even though we are their biggest market.
Bon Jovi has been selling out most (if not all) shows in the United States. They sold out 28,000 seats in less than an hour for one of the shows I'm going to. Why shouldn't they play the most shows in the United States, where they come from? They always draw large audiences here. You may have been their biggest market at one point, but I think it is pretty even now. The most money will be made in the United States in regards to touring. That's why most bands do big tours here. Hell, U2 toured for what, like a year and a half here? In regards to touring, the United States is the biggest market, even if they may have sold more albums over there.

Yes, but Bon Jovi can sell out stadiums in Europe, in multiple countries. I know they sold out Giants Stadium, but they come from NJ so they are bound to be more popular/hyped up there. For them to play to as many people in the US, as they would in Europe, they would have to perform at three times as many shows. They aren't doing that on this tour, and *I don't believe* they did it on their previous 3 tours at least. If they were just in it for the money, then they would do more of Europe since they can play to more people during less shows. Maybe the American tour is big because the US is a very big country with 300,000,000 people, and now that they are popular again they want to play on their home turf.

I didn't say that they were in it only for the money. What I said was, is the United States is the biggest market for touring. Why shouldn't they like playing at home? Should they feel indebted to Europe?

You implied it. And I don't think they are the biggest market for touring. I think that if they decided to do a full comprehensive tour of Europe, they would have much larger audiences and make a lot more money. The US isn't 'concert starved' like much of Europe is.

Another thing I really think sucks (yes, there's that word again) is their MAJOR concentration on the U.S this time around. I don't think it's bad or unfair or anything like that that they will do many concerts and have made many appearences and so on for this album and tour. But why, WHY, only the U.S? That's not what I'm getting. Have Bon Jovi really become that ignorant to not see that their market isn't concentrated to U.S only? Maybe the Bounce album haven't sold that well here in Europe (compared to Crush), but that's no reason for not giving a kinda-proper tour like they did during the OWN tour. At least then they visited France, Sweden and Italy as well although I think it's a shame they didn't play in Finland, Denmark, Polen, Greece, Turkey, Budapest, Spain, Portugal and other places. It's not THAT much of an effort.

I for one really feel like Bon Jovi are doing a Van Halen, and by that meaning that they are turning into a U.S band only, not a world band. And if they are, my conclusion is: No more Jovi....
