ive heard it two times live- 96 in wels and 2001 in vienna- the 2nd time around no-one knew that they were gonna do it and the response to tico's intro was amazing as was richie's 2nd solo- unfortunately the rest of the show was rather so-so....
but always is a great song and i also like it that they don't play it often- so it's sth. special when they play it @ concerts!

I was disappointed they didnt play Always at least once in the UK, fair enough it will never be a setlist regular but it deserves to get played now and again. Id rather hear a weak always than certain other songs what get played at every show.

Lol, just had to reply!!! I LOVE this song, and was one of the lucky few who got to hear it this tour!! Zurich, 11.6.03! I was a very happy bunny after that! But so not expecting it, Helen had to scream in my ear before I even registered that opening drumbeat!!
After the show, we got a setlist from one of the crew members...it was not on it...not even on the Audibles list (whatever that means!!). Several friends of mine had a huge banner, closer to the center in front row than I was, that said JON, YOU'LL ALWAYS BE MY BABY, with ALWAYS in big bold red... (my suggestion, might I add! Lol, sorry...) So I'm thinking, what else could it have been?!? :P
Star, you'll hear it yet! I can feel it in my bones!!

I had a banner with " Request : Always " the show before the Zurich - one (Ostend) ... I just knoooooooow it's because of he saw my banner there he played it the show after .... Well ok, I admit ! I know it's not because of my banner but just leave me in my dream hehehe lol
