I'd love to have that in top quality.

Well it would be a very clever idea to put it on as a B-Side to the next single released internationally and say release it as bonus download on i-Tunes in America, provided that can be done legally speaking, but what's infinitely more likely is we'll get yet another live version of Bad Name.

it's not that demanding a vocal especially when it's knocked down a key as bon jovi do live. john had alot of leeway to push it further imo.

saying that it's a pretty decent version. the biggest problem with that song is that it's easy to do an alright version of because it's such a great song but it's hard to make it exceptional because the bar's been set so high by other covers of it.

fwiw i think buckley's version is astounding

To answer the poster.... probably yes.... Was one of the highlights for me. There was just something in Jon's voice!

I'm not dissapointed, but I think the magic of the song disappears when "everybody" sings it. This hype around Buckelys version the last years have been messing up the magic. You hear Hallelujah round every corner.
Kinda like Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. In Idol you can say that singing, Hallelujah or Hurt is a kind of walkover (if you don't ruin it completly).

I'm not sure how it is in other nations, but here in Norway Hallelujah have been played so much in diffrent version that it kills the song.
Seems like everybody wanna bath on there own tears to Buckleys version.

I think everybody should put the song on ice and let it rest for 30 years. Then Leonard could defrost it

Totally agree. It was the highlight of the show for me. And yes i did go and listen to the other versions but i definitely prefer Jovi.

While I PERSONALLY would LOVE to see/hear this is in concert as I was watching it last night my brother kept saying how boring he thought the song was and sadly if they did this one on tour on a regular basis I can totally see that song as being the "bathroom break" portion of the concert. I wonder how the majority of the crowd reacted when it was done at the O2 show? Do we have a report on that?

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

From my vantage point, very well. It seemed to take a while for people to realise what it was but once they did, everybody was singing along and it got a huge applause afterward. The crowd seemed genuinely transfixed by Jon and impressed by his performance.

Bon Jovi's version of Hallelujah was amazing. The Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley versions of the song are fantastic, I'm surprised to have heard it last night, but it was definitely one of the highlights of the night, absolutely superb.

Default Hallelujah-Ballelujah

For me, it was painstakingly toooooo long. But if others got off of it, fine. When I watch Stripped, I rather skip it (once is enuff for me). Then I watched it on Unplugged and he was in one of his "drama" moments at the end of the song -- worse when Richie slurred "Mr. JBJ" and I cringed.

I consider his "drama" moments at the end of the song one of the highlights. Jon so seldom puts himself body and soul into a song any more that it was nice to see some passion from him again.

It's usually his lack of passion that makes me cringe these days
