As it's already mentioned US fans ain't like Europeans nor South American fans. Europeans, South American, Asian are passionate, instead US fans (no offense to anybody) seems more pathetic. Check out the Greek fans for instance or the Portuguese fans.

Indeed…Southern European fans are probably the best! Must have something to do with the sun, the wines, the food, the gorgeous landscapes, who knows…but yeah, Southern European fans are the best!

Seems highly unlikely.
Very likely actually. Having all seaters makes a massive difference. Look at football stadiums since the terraces got removed after Hillsbrough....football games lack atmosphere now it's all seating. The same applies to concerts. It loses its rock and roll atmosphere. I massively noticed this at the O2

The O2 run was indeed a bit tepid crowd wise but I think that was down to fans being spoiled for shows and the fact that the floor seats were expensive. Meaning older more well off and less excitable people were sucking the life out of the crowd. Up in the stands the atmosphere was pretty good.

Just look at the one off O2 show in 2007. The crowd were going mental everywhere. Same goes for the one off Paris indoor show in 2010, the crowd were great.

I've been to plenty of indoor arena shows in the US where the crowd was going absolutely mental, seats or no seats.

Isn't this a factor in why American shows have seats on the floor?

I've been to plenty of gigs where it's general admission floor at arenas. It is up to the band whether there is seats or not. Jon can get more money from selling seats on the floor, so that is why.

Not entirely true. A lot of places in instituted laws after the Who tragedy which led to floor seating become the norm, but a lot of them are off the books now.

I always get chills watching this:

And for American fans to know, that is called jumping. It's is legal in rock concerts. You should give it a try

The band don't like general admission. I have video footage of Richie talking about that somewhere in reference to the problems they had in Groten, CT, on the KTF tour. But there were also problems in Little Rock that same tour when it was GA. It just wasn't bad enough to make the news.

I won't go to any show that's GA. When the band played on the beach in Alabama, I watched them from my hotel room balcony so I could avoid the crowd. Just my personal preference.
