What?!? Where did you hear that? I think this will be bigger that either of those. Jon has said they´ll play four nights in a row at The Meadowlands. So figure it out. And they play 8 nights in Japan which is, I quess, more that ever. Jon said in some interview that on this tour they want to go everywhere. Only thing I´m worried is the European Tour. I´ve heard that it ain´t going to be very big this time. I think this will be a world tour which Crush/OWN hardly were. :P
Jon NEVER said they were playing four nights in a row at the Meadowlands. He said they had Continental Airlines Arena on reserve for ONE night somewhere between February 8 and February 11. BIG DIFFERENCE. Listening skills are *very* important. And that might even have changed in the scheme of tour routing, since there's so many variables. This is how rumors get started.

Late, this tour might indeed turn out to be bigger than the Crush Tour or the OWN Tour...but only in the States. Or only in the States and Japan. The guys, especially Jon, have stated in various recent radio interviews that this tour won't be as extensive as the previous tours have been, and the word is that in particular this might apply to the European leg of the tour. In other words, even though many people might expect them to tour extensively in Europe since they're gonna be doing arena shows instead of the usual stadium gigs, the European Tour might not turn out to be as extensive show-wise, country-wise or time-wise as ppl might have thought it would be.

My guess is that the band is going to concentrate on the home front this time around since they seem to be doing quite alright over there. I guess us Europeans have really been pampered with lots and lots of Jovi shows and extensive tours in the past 10 years when the guys were not all that popular in the US... And now, when they've gained more popularity there again and are (rightfully) taking some extra time to concentrate on the home market, the rest of the world will "suffer" cause they'll be doing the US stuff at the expense of the rest of the world. They're not gonna go back to the 250-show tours ever again, so if they want to spend more time in the US, they will have to spend less time outside the US.

I can certainly understand that some of us non-US fans might feel disappointed and even somewhat betrayed or let down, but if you look at it from the band's point of view, there's nothing wrong with what they're doing. It's more like we have to realise that the days of pampering us with extensive tours and vast amount of shows are gone for now, and that we better make the most of what we get rather than feel sorry for ourselves or even blame the band for not getting the exact same things we used to get.

Well, I never heard it from any radio station but read it from Backstage. Someone wrote there that BJ will do New Jersey between 8th-11th February. And here I go again, I obviously missed the word BETWEEN, stupid me. But it never read anywhere that they were doing only ONE night. It might have been said in the radio but it never read anywhere like that. Sorry if I confused you. Never meant to start any rumour but here you have one: I read again from Backstage that BJ will do TWO nights in Boston on 12th-13th February. This is RUMOUR, it´s not confirmed by anyone but somehow I believe it might be true.

No one ever said that there was need for a tour such as that. Was These Days 1995 tour a 250-show tour? No. It was about 130 show tour, and they went almost everywhere. They could easily do similar tour this time.

I certainly am one of those fans but still I understand what they´re doing.

P.S. If you read my post carefully you see that I too have noticed and am worried about the european tour not being so big.

Expect more like ONE night in Boston. This U.S. leg between Japan and Europe is going to be a quick trip from the West to the East coasts with the Midwest in between, and more like a one-night stop in many different cities. If they're going to do multiple nights, it looks more like that will happen during the summer U.S. leg than the winter. The Boston thing was the same -- they had two nights on reserve, to pick one, based upon what the rest of their schedule looked like. That's common tour routing practice.
