I had dinner at a place where one of the less expensive meals cost $32. That was in MS where the cost of living is less than NJ. The same meal probably would have been $45 in Atlantic City.

Yes, AC is a big rip off. A hamburger could cost you 10 dollars. But Becky is right, and also the Borgata is a brand new casino there, which also drives up the price.

Hey... it's life. There were a lot of bands playing in clubs that I would have loved to see prior to my 18th birthday, but I couldn't get in. I survived.

Yeah - but if you r lucky enough to be one of the fans that hasn't had their back turned on (i.e. one with a fat wallet), your survival will be more enjoyable.

So, I guess I should be bitter that they play so few shows in the Southeast and if I want to see them, I have to travel? They "turned their back on" the majority of the USA if you look at it like that and map out their tour dates.

I could sulk about it, or do something about it. I can't control promoters and tour schedules, so I save money so that when Bon Jovi is on tour, I have some "mad money" at my disposal. I can't go to show after show after show, but I enjoy the ones I can go to for all their worth.

It boils down to this in the USA--if you don't live in the Northeast or in/near a MAJOR city, you're out of luck. Think ahead, prepare in advance, and make your own good things happen.

Amen Becky! This year was the first time since 1995 that Bon Jovi have been in Tampa for a concert. I just planned around that. It meant I had to travel 500 miles, but at least I got to see them. And it didn't cost me a whole lot of money. I just planned for it and saved so that when the time came I was ready.

I happen to agree with this 100%. "Make your own good things happen" I think you should put that on a tshirt! I know I am lucky because I live in the Northeast (so shoot me!) but there are other things I enjoy that I have to save up for and travel thousands of miles to get to. Am I going to complain that they need to move the Grand Canyon closer to me because it's too far away?? No, that's ridiculous.

Of course the ticket prices are too expensive, but it's $85 to go to a hockey game here in Boston, it's been $250 to see several artists play the Fleet Center. I don't like it, but if I want to go, I have to pay. I don't take it personally, I just chose the concerts and events I want to go to more carefully. That's the way it is now, it's not Bon Jovi, it's other artists too, it's sports, it's everything.

That's what a lot of people don't seem to get. It's as if they think that Bon Jovi is the only act with these high prices when, in reality, their ticket prices are still some of the most affordable going. Think about the Foxboro show--that ticket got you Bon Jovi and if that wasn't enough, Sheryl Crow and the Goo Goo Dolls which are also both very popular acts here in the USA.

The $200 tix for AC are getting you into a very small intimate performance by one of the biggest acts in the world. Of course that's worth more than an arena or stadium show.

That's something that I think a lot of people are forgetting. You're not going to a huge 20,000 seat arena to see them. It is a small intimate setting that is being used (hopefully!) for a DVD release. If I didn't have to add the cost of flying to Jersey into the picture, I probably would have been there myself.

But bearing in mind this is the only time they r gonna play these songs.

That they think its ok to put on such an extortionate show just because everyone is doing it.

$200+ is not an affordable price. It alienates a huge part of the fanbase - for what will be the only performance of these hits.

U can lie down & not question it because its BJ - or u can make a stand. U don't get anywhere in life by not asking questions.

If ppl of America keep paying these prices - then they will keep charging them.
