And actually I think I might have already mentioned it in this thread that I was talking about following in the footsteps of the American fans and starting The List tradition here in Europe... And for that, we can thank these certain British fans.
Actually I just went back and couldn't find you mentioning America anywhere, but that's OK just as long as they are being recognised.

Well guys - Laura & taija r getting there early tonite to do the list!!

Lets wish them luck - as it will mean pretty much no sleep until after the concert tommorrow night.

Also I'll just add that in Mannheim there wouldn't have been a list & no-one to actually enforce it, if Carole hadn't been persuaded to do this - as up to that point it had been a thankless task and she wasn't prepared to do it again.

When the entire stand clapped her and the security guard, it was a fitting moment.

Mike

I'm certainly wishing them the best of luck with everything!!! I've been trying to sort out their UK tickets as well as my own ones, and I'm hoping that everything will turn out well queueing-wise and ticket-wise for the UK shows.

And to *SavageJovi*, I was positive I had mentioned it somewhere earlier, either in this post or in some other post, that The List idea was originally carried over from the US where the American fans have been keeping these lists for ages when queueing up for their fan club tickets. I know for certain that a few UK fans started such a list completely impromptu at the Glasgow show in 2001 (that was the first UK show then, wasn't it?) and from there the practice was carried over to the other British Isles shows and finally to the remaining shows in mainland Europe. And that's how it all started here in Europe.

[color=orange]Of course, since it was Carola, Marijke, Inge and the others who made it happen in Mannheim and Amsterdam, we all should be grateful for the hard work they did. I'm not denying that, far from it actually. I personally NEVER would've believed that such a system could work in Holland... But now I've been proved wrong, so if I still have the chance to travel on the next Bon Jovi tour after this one, I might consider taking Holland back to my tour itinerary.

Hmph. Are you trying to say that I shouldn't come to the Dutch shows at all, even if I thought it would be safe now after seeing how well the fan club arrangements turned out this time? That's a very nice and friendly thought...NOT. If I have the money and the time, I go wherever I want to go. And I certainly don't need anyone's approval to attend a show in any particular country. This tour has proven that contrary to what I have experienced before, Germany, Belgium and Holland CAN be safe places to go to Jovi shows, if the fan club arrangements are well sorted and if the local security co-operates with the band security and the fans. So from now on, there are no "black spots" on my European tour map anymore.

We were supposed to go to the Arena about 10 pm (Mike wanted to have a good nights sleep )
What is he on about??? You can have a good nights sleep on a hard concrete floor in freezing cold, in a two-in-one sleeping bag

Thierry, Sebastiaan and Edwin came over to say hi to us in the afternoon
Even tho Edwin technically didn't say hi

Then we were led into the pit – we got front row right between Jon and Richie. Excellent spot!!
"As always," they say humbly!

Well, as far as Laura and Taija noticed, Jon didn’t actually show his balls
Believe us, we would have noticed that!!!!!

with the band breaking the curfew, we made a new banner saying “There’s no curfew here tonight, Jon”.

The band were in an awesome mood again “and were smiling constantly”, say Laura and Taija)

“First thing I noticed was the great clothes Jon was wearing,” Taija says. “The first thing I noticed was Jon flashing The Smile – and I was sold!” says Laura.

Mike shakes his head.
Quote:
In the beginning of Runaway, Jon was by Tico’s drums. Laura and Taija held up their curfew banner. Jon noticed it, and gave us a shocked look, drawing back, and then flashing the smile – WOW! People around us from like two rows back were patting our shoulders, telling us he noticed our banner.
Quote:
Taija and Laura kept warning the people around them before the concert started that once they hear the magical words “two, three, four” they’d better watch out. And when Jon screamed them, we went mad, once again. But it was in the chorus that we went absolutely mental. Jon came to stand right in front of us, and for the entire chorus was looking into Taija’s, Laura’s and Cathrin’s (sp?) eyes, one at the time, going back and forth. We played it cool, and jammed with him. Laura saluted Jon, and he gave the gesture back. It was when he left us that Taija and Laura started crying hysterically. People around us were patting and hugging us, comforting us. It took us a while to recover, we were just shaking and gasping for breath. It was the most amazing feeling ever, and especially in that song. WOW!!!!
