Default An established band is willing to open for BJ

Check out melodicrock.com. Neal Schon (Journey's guitarist) mentioned that Journey is interested in opening for Bon Jovi or Toto.

I consider the Goo Goo Dolls to be an established band. Grammy nominations and platinum albums seem pretty established to me.

well.. Journey has its days too.. But now they are not so popular anymore.. Their last album is good but they don't get any recongination or sales that they deserve...

May be that's the reason they want to be an opener..

Because it seemed to me like you were saying Bon Jovi usually don't get an established band to open for them. If you wanted your point to be that Journey were interested in opening for Bon Jovi, then you should have said that. But, you said that a "an established band is willing to open for Bon Jovi". I just simply pointed out that I felt an established band IS already opening for them.

Then you got me wrong maam... no need to be pissy.
The reason I put the post is because I have never seen an established band saying in open they wanted to open for BJ. And yes I'm fully aware that Goo Goo Dolls is fully established and is currently opening for BJ.

Sorry, I guess we both just took each other the wrong way. I wasn't looking at it as another band saying they wanted to open for the band. I was looking at it from the viewpoint that rarely do we get a good opening act for a Bon Jovi show.....and defending GGD as a good act.

Actually if I go to the Bounce tour concert, GGD will be the best opening act for BJ. I saw BJ twice before and both opening bands were horrible. The one during OWN was some punk band Eve6 and during Crossroad tour it was some local band... the worst ever!
