one of you hit the nail on the head; you would NEVER get a Backstage Bandit requesting TAALS, SFTP or anything remotely obscure. Jon brags about the fact that the band don't even need to soundcheck anymore, so why bother getting the band onstage for an hour in the afternoon and re-learning worthwhile audibles when you can be strutting around your hotel room, talking to very busy business people, assuring them that you are also a very busy business man while Richie is securely fastened to the radiator in the corner so he can't reach the bottle of Pinot on the coffee table!?

If they requested anything rare, it would get ignored and these people didn't sell their children's vital organs to buy a dozen tickets at 1.3 million euros each, to get so close they can smell if Richie's had a pre-show snifter and then get ignored. They don't care what Jon plays, they just want Jon to leave happy. He could sing 'I'm a Little Teapot' 25 times and encore with 'If You're Happy & You Know It' and they would be chuffed.


Let me set the scene... picture it now... Jon looks down at the mongy banner requesting CC and smiles at Richie, then smiles at the Bandits. They give a little wink as if to say (Imagine Stewie Griffin's voice, it just sounds better that way) 'See what I've done to you JB, it's me again and I'm throwing you that curve ball you always talk about. I'm such a scamp.'
Jon will wag a finger and then make a comment into the mic about said curveball and go to the pretense of asking the band if they remember it. He might even say something along the lines of 'Whoa, is that 10 years old? Now you're testing an old man's memory baby... '

Cue Backstage Bandits flooding the Diamond Circle with all kinds of bodily fluids and reacting as if Jon has just asked them to sit in on the next studio session and offer some thoughts.

Okay, if that actually happens exactly like that, fluids and all, I should win some kind of prize, right?

Dunno about that but you should win a prize for that post because not only is it funny, it's bloody accurate!

And for what I gather Backstage is going from bad to worse, as long as Jon shakes his ass, they seem to be content, so yes they could sing the chicken song, Jon dances and OMG!!!!! the best show ever!!!

these days? seriously? that album is way overrated. If anything they need to play songs from the first two albums. I'd rather hear them play Silent Night over anything from These Days.

Someone here really needs to requests more songs from the first two albums, everyone is requesting stuff from These Days... Request Only Lonely, Shot Through The Heart, Come Back, Roulette, In And Out Of Love, Silent Night

These days songs are a more realistic possibility of being played, sadly the first two albums are a pipe dream especially after they tried and abandoned them after Hawaii I can't see them coming back no matter how many requests.

oh god no, how can you rate anything from 7800 above anything from These Days? I'd rather hear Jon fart the tune to Diamond Ring than anything from Fahrenheit.
