Default Anthony Kuzminski's Review - Chicago Round 2

Anthony was pretty tough on the band during the Prudential run, but the guys have won him over once again --

I guess Deb and I weren't the only ones who thought Sunday was pretty amazing!

Aloha !

I think most of his reviews and ideas about Bon Jovi are pretty shit to be honest. I have a feeling that he visits this board every now and then, since he brings up things in his reviews that are being said on this board, and then makes it look like his own ideas and thoughts. He tries to connect silly things, for example in this review, Gimme Shelter and Keep The Faith. I mean, it's nice the way he describes it, but it doesn't make sense at all. Further on, he's a bit too poetic with lines like "Spark in the dark" and all those lyric references. It's just a rock band, not ****ing Shakespeare.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I know what you are trying to say - but sometimes - and very rarely - a rock show will speak to you (or to me) directly and really make an impression.

Every once in a while you do feel like you are at a show with 20,000 of your best friends (Jon's line not mine), listening to the best music in the world and that nothing could be better.

It may sound corny but the best shows can make me feel good for weeks afterward. That sure beats drugs or alcohol which can make you feel like shit the next day LOL.

I find his reviews honest and refreshing - and very enjoyable reading. And all Shaekespeare was was a popular artist at the time - he wasn't 'Shakespeare.' Plenty of people had similar reactions to him then. Not that I am comparing Bon Jovi to Shakespeare

AHHH what a great review.....

its great to know how good it can be when you get chills just hearing how it affected somebody else - sooooo supercool

and i liked the way it was written - at least he is trying to be intelligent

how about Hallelujah Kath!

so are they gonna bring the screens and stuff to NJ? is philly the closet they are playing with that stage - if they play giants i think they wouldnt use the same stage and might lose the screens....

anybody know?

I know, I know, but still. I really dislike the way he writes his reviews. Way too poetic, and really, the stuff about Gimme Shelter is just a load of crap.

He does post on here. I thought it was a good review personally, it's nice to see a bit of creativity, and look at things in a different way

Tony's passionate about his music, and his words I guess, and I don't feel like he's a bandwagoner in the way some other music writers are. So I love his reviews. I can be a little bit arty farty at times though, if you want to use that to discredit my opinion

I like his reviews because they ARE poetic and he is critical - but not too much and he isn supportive of the band, but not in let-them-get-away-with-SHENANIGANS-rose-colored-glasses way some fans do.

I think Jon himself should read that site... and take a few hints. Anthony verbalizes what many fans feel.
