I don't claim to be a comedy genius, or even very funny at all. I dunno, you used the word gay, so I thought I would too ... just saying that I think Velvet Revolver are great live. No hard feelings

No problem. It's just that I like the album but have seen them live twice, once at Manchester Apollo Theatre and again at Birmingham Arena and I really thought the sound was awful. It sounded just as bad at Live 8. That's all I can base my opinion on, the band did throw themselves into it wholeheartedly and can't be faulted for effort but I just couldn't hear the songs. Hopefully they'll sort it out for next time.

It's only two weeks before the first concert, and no news yet. That would mean 3 things. They don't know, there keeping it a secret til opening night, or they aren't touring with anyone....it seems weird that there wouldn't be one but with the lack of news it seems the most likely

I am afraid you might be right. They will be here two weeks from today and I cannot find anything on an opening act.
I know some say it is okay for no opening act, but the tickets are pricey and I think the fans deserve to have a big show, including an opening act. JMO
I think it would even be great..
if they even used a local band at each venue.. maybe a battle of the bands winner in the area. Also, JMO

Personally, I'd prefer a 3 hour show from Bon Jovi as opposed to 2.5 hours from them, and 30 minutes from a band like Smashmouth.

When I saw Bryan Adams last year, I had no idea who the opening act would be, and in fact I didn't know until they came onstage, played for about half an hour, and then announced who they were (it was Speedway BTW)
