Although Bon Jovi are great and definitely one of my favourite live bands, I thought Bruce Springsteen was amazing, just because he varies his show more. You never know what to expect with him and that is something I miss with Bon Jovi. They have so many songs that they never play and the show becomes a bit repetitive...

If I had seen them.. Queen would have been better though!

Yes, without a doubt for me Bon Jovi is by far the best live act. I see lots of shows and they are the only band that I will travel for and go to multiple shows.

My passion is Bon Jovi but have to say, Springsteen and The E Street Band [Brisbane, March 2003] was the best gig I've ever been to. Nearly 3 hours of nothing but Bruce and the band...no fancy stage, no support act, no wizz bang lighting...just them.

I might have said BJ if I'd seen them in their own gig and not at The Universal concert here in 2001. [great gig by the band, albeit short...bad memories of everything else connected with that day]
Hopefully, 2005 into 2006 will herald a full BJ tour downunder [and include Adelaide, though I think that is wishful thinking] so I can have the true 'BJ experience'. Money will be on the full stretch by then as it is strongly tipped that U2 will be in Oz Dec '05 or Jan. '06.

There were some great BJ shows, but not the best I've ever seen.
Some bands just make more work of their live shows. They experiment with setlists and stuff. BJ is a bit predictable nowadays.

My best concert memories come from LIVE, Robbie Williams and some Kane shows.

I think if I'd only seen one Jovi show then I'd say Jovi were the best I've seen live, but I've seen them a lot of times, and tho I LOVE the shows 150% I agree wth Plien, when you go to other shows, it seems like other bands put more effort into keeping it fresh and different. (maybe thats what comes from seeing one band so much, you cant help but become blase about it) BUT I've seen other bands multilple times and they all make the effort to change things around in a noticeable way! Sooo anway, I'd have to say of all the shows Ive seen.. Jovi, Aerosmith, Stones, B Adams, Thunder, Quireboys, Bruce, Macca, and loads more... the best of all was Robbie at Knebworth. Jovi come a VERY very close 2nd though.

yep, like showing 1.5 hours late without announcement while the crowd is waiting and where the venue stopped selling alcohol 15 minutes prior to the 'scheduled' start of the show.....

hate him eversince.... :P

only concert I left before the encore too.

I think it is a bit pointless to think about the best band one has seen live, as there are too many bands with too many variables. I've seen heavy metal/hip hop/thrash metal/pop/glam rock/folk music/local no name/big stadium sell-outs/hardcore/accoustic/themed shows and everything in between. A lot of them were excellent in their own rights. The guy I saw at a local place with two backup dancers/singers and a guy on the keyboard doing dance music was fantastic - I can't remember his name - local act - as was Aerosmith/Anthrax/Deep Purple.....etc. ----- in different ways obviously....

Dunno, kind of like picking favorite band - I've got too many to name.
