The Stadium was completely full last sunday. 67,000 was reported at the Gig. A steward predicted the Foo Fighters Gig had about 40,000. Plus Bon Jovi are playing more gigs.

Trying to stay on topic here and not get involved in a petty slanging match involving Bon Jovi versus 'any other band' and ball licking....

Fridays and Saturdays gigs were both fantastic - but the promoters need to re-assess their ticket prices for seats in the middle and upper tiers. People don't want to fork out shed loads of cash just to be stuck 'up in the gods' or way back in these stadiums. Those empty seats would have been full if they'd have asked £25 for them, for example. Or is that not realistic?

On the subject of advertising..did anyone else manage to get their hands on one of those posters that were covering the railings on the roundabout (opposite the Toyota garage on the roundabout)? Were they free? I saw two guys in a van handing them out and taking pictures of people holding them up...wasn't sure what was going on though.

Just large cardboard flyer type things for the 'Lost Highway' tour - they had a picture of the band on them. I was going to take one off the railings but then I saw these two guys handing them out to passers by. I didn't bother getting one as I didn't want the hassle of carrying it round with me all night.

Absolutely agree, they really need to sell these as "cheap seats" for about £20. It would have made more sense than having them blocked out like at Twickers on saturday. If I was a casual fan of a band Id be much more likely to buy a cheaper ticket in the gods, and if I enjoy it Ill be back next time round with a better ticket. Trying to convince my friends to give me £85 for a gold circle ticket was amusing especially when they dont even like Jovi that much! Luckily they are more converted now!

As for the signs, afaik they were promo signs just on the barriers and if it wasnt for having to lug them around in the GC I would definitely have had one (like everyone else was robbing them on the way in!). Although my girlfriend would have chucked it away as soon as I got it through the door!

All those last minute flyers and posters were a desperate attempt to boost ticket sales, as was the concert day ten pound tickets ticketmaster started selling. Didn't seem to help matters much though

Middle and lower tiers were coming up; I thought it was a leaked staff offer or am I wrong?
