I agree, it's little things like this that take away from the overall 'band' performance. Even if Hugh just stands there, it still fills the stage a bit and just feels more like a proper 'band'. When the band plays together, they interact with each other more, rather than all being isolated in their own little bubbles, notably Jon stuck on the spot with his white crutch/mic stand.

Richie should have a radio mic on and be more free to roam the stage and even the ramp/catwalk (like the Edge, or the def leppard guys etc), interacting with the audience. Jon should definitely use the walkways/stage more.

I'd like to see Bon Jovi play ''in the round'' actually, I think it would totally change the dynamic for the better. Saw Metallica this way recently, it was special.

EDIT: Look how empty the stage feels and detached and static the band look during one of my fav songs here. And you have to LOL at 02.55 when suddenly Bobby gets his 5secs of fame in the spotlight with his awful one note guitar solo. .

I despair.

That is crazy. The only person at the back should be tico... it may as well be a backing track with just jon and richie on stage... what is wrong with the band engaging? Why cant dave launch into pink flamingos and have some credit or hugh stepping out to do the base line intro to keep the faith. They look like caged animals.

In my opinion: **** Bobby. I don't want him on the front, his spotlight singing Pretty Woman on 2010 was more than enough. He's allright on the bottom. Hugh? Maybe, but he's gonna need more charisma or is going to be a minus more than a plus: When I saw Scorpions, Paweł Mąciwoda interacted a lot with the public, and when I saw Europe John Levén interacted more than John Norum (guitar), he was always pointing at the crowd, screaming, etc! I can't picture Hugh doing that. I can't even picture him smiling.

Wow. Wow.

Tha was REALLY bad. It sounds awful, it looks boring and it's one of the best songs in the catalog. The best moment was Bobby's guitar solo, at least he's happy to be there. And it wasn't that bad as a solo either.

But really. Is this what we've come to? It's crap. Really, it is.

I miss this: http://youtu.be/2gdGuRXVfNA

Ha, a nice metaphor and I agree! But, I'd rather they not let Bobby out of his 'cage' for his 5 seconds of fame - in that clip I posted it's so ridiculous, the spotlight comes on, he climbs down of his box and approaches the front of the stage like it's the second coming of Christ, only to ****ing butcher a solo in one of my favourite Bon Jovi songs..

As I said, seeing the band ''in the round'' would be great as the band would hopefully actually act like a coherent entity and feed off one another, rather than it being Jon Bon and his B-street backing band.

That's a different band. It's night and day really. Everything from all of Jon's nonstop movements around the stage, the fist pumps, the high fives with the crowd, the jumping, the smiles, the small vocal improvs and THAT scream. *Sigh* Now you've made me depressed.

But there is hope. I saw some good shows in 2010, so I still cling to that. They will get better as this tour goes on... :/

I don't get it, he didn't move less than he did on the 2010 tour. And the stage looks as full as it's been since the beginning on The Circle Tour, also, it doesn't look that empty if you are on the field, I don't know the exact word in english, in front of the escenary. If it looks empty is because they're looking at it from up there.

The solo isn't as good as the original, but it's the best part of that version. And the way Bobby acts, I'd like to see the whole band to act. They should be ****ing happy to be up there. But no, no emotion, Jon's WAAAAY off key even though everythinge tuned down and Richie won't even bother trying to look like he cares. Even Tico isn't hitting as hard as he used to, the first snare hit does nothing like it used to.

If you compare that performance of In these Arms with the 2011 performances, it looks like a diferent band. You don't even have to go way back to notice it ...
This is lame ...
