I hope these ticket prices are just for these shows and not the entire 2008 tour. The ticket prices are just ridiculous.

I think what folks are focusing on are the $303 priced seats which again are only the front floor seats and the closest side sections. So, again, that's maybe 20% (and that's being generous) of the total mix of seats. So, that leaves 80% of the total available seats priced at $128 down to $49.50.

I agree the $303 is a 150% (I'm comparing to the price of a front floor CAA seat on the HAND tour) increase over the average price for that same seat BUT, the entire floor and all the lower level seating was priced at the highest ticket price which means the Pru prices (brand new arena compared to an arena that is 26 years old) for the back floor and lower level seating is priced about 16% higher than the same seat at CAA.

To put things in perspective, Justin Timberlake is playing CAA. For a GA ticket, yes, GA, it's $150 bucks and his cheapest nosebleed is $55.

Do I wish the Pru tickets were cheaper, yes, do I think things are as bad as this article makes them out to be, no.

I would prefer if this guy didn't go ranting about how he feels about their newer work, because not only do I disagree, but I also feel it discredits the objectivity of the article by spouting his personal views.

That aside though, I agree largely with many of his points: these prices are ridiculous, and if we get short sets for them like they did at Country Jam, I'd be very disappointed.

Country Jam was a multi act show where they were the headliner so I actually thought they played longer than I thought they would at almost 90 minutes.

Touche. Didn't know that. Still, I'd like to see sets for this ten-night gig that have been longer than anything else this year, comparable to the shows they were doing at the end of the HAND tour. JBJ isn't stupid, I'm sure he knows the majority of people going will be fans. So hopefully they'll be good setlists.

And while I do think the prices are absurd, I also agree that they'll probably be much more reasonable come the 08 tour.

Believe me, with the dough I'm shelling out I am with you on wanting longer shows and more variety in the set lists. I'll be at all 10 shows so.....Personally I think the NJ Devils are trying to recoup their $100 million investment on the backs of the Jovi shows, lol!

So..this guy thinks that bon jovi arent in the league of kiss ,u2 etc, well thats his opinion and he has a right to it.
But Bon Jovi dont deserve to be ripping off there fans.Only an idiot would think otherwise.
330 us for the best seats in the house?R these guys for the blue collar worker?Jon should take his head out of his ass.
I dont care whether the arena is new or 50 years old.Who cares, jbj definitely has a say in how much the tickets will cost.
It's a disgrace on his part to be involved in a scam like this,i thought he had more class and respect for his fans.
Obviously he doesnt.

that's what I think. as I said, I was pricing some of the tickets for some NHL games. and the Devils as well as a few other teams..were very high...as opposed to other teams like the thrashers. The prices of the hockey game tickets were high. So it's not just the bon jovi tickets. I don't think the game tickets were as high. But they were still pretty high compared to other locations.

I'm sure that the prices of the concert tickets were vary according to location and venue. Atlanta always has lower tickets compared to other cities.

Well, that theory makes a lot of sense, considering ten Bon Jovi shows would probably get more money than the Devils do the entire season.

Also, originally the New Jersey Nets (the professional basketball team for those overseas) had committed to playing there as well but then pulled out and signed a contract with Continental Airlines Arena. So, there's a whole lot of revenue down the drain.
