more than a bit

how many US shows have they done now? I thought it would just be the first 2 or 3 that had unimaginative setlists

Unimaginative is not the goal, is it? If you were to attend everyshow, then you might get bored but most people aren't attending multiple shows... what's the point of analyzing set lists if the majority of people enjoying the show are, well, enjoying the show?

fair enough...

but then if they don't attend each show it's not going to hurt them if they hear a different set to what for example chicago or new york may have had the week before - because they'll not know what went on there.

But if the band actually listened to the complaints/demands/requests that are gathering for setlists we'd have half of the These Days album, nothing that ever was a hit on radio, random b-sides that the band can barely recall writing, zero covers ever under penalty of death and a few songs off Bounce (hey, NO BALLADS, I said!)... is that about right?! :)

Default set lists

Given that 'These Days' was their best album, who wouldn't want to hear 'half' of it again live?!
The set lists and shows would be much better for the inclusion of :
Hey God
These Days
Hard Letting You Go
Something to Believe In
Guitar Lies Bleeding
If Thats What It Takes

These are great songs that NEVER get a play!!!

Jim

Yes but in AC they would have gone over like a lead balloon. Remember, These Days did not sell well in the States. I was thrilled about In These Arms in AC but all I heard in the ladies room was whining about no Bed of Roses. And this in a show with three encores. The AC audience also knew the Bounce songs less than the CAA audiences and were sitting during those. If you threw half of These Days at them they would have been perplexed.

not necessarily - we'd have songs that were singles - in and out of love, livin' in sin more often, lay your hands on me, dry county...

b sides would be nice etc, but there is an officially released back catalogue

I liked these days as much as anyone. But the album is 7-8 years old. We just aren't going to hear much, if anything, from it. Just have to accept it and move on.
