I had a very similar experience this time around looking at the clips. I came away with this vague depression that something I love so much only exists in memory. And, for the sake of legacy, I found myself wishing it was over.

When you combine Jon being unable to sing with how absolutely miserable/uncomfortable he looks up there, I just want the misery to be over. For him, for us.

This comes from a place of deep love. I don't think there's any ill will here from fans commenting on it.

The good news is that Jon could still go on doing small acoustic shows that his voice is much more suited for now and doing all the great humanitarian work that brings him the most joy anyway.

That said, I know there are fans who are still thrilled with the product they are getting and I don't begrudge them that. I am happy for them.
