what you need to realise is that there's certain intineries world tours generally consist of and if people choose to go to oz then it's outwith the general way tours run and they're going above and beyong what is regarded as the norm.

It's the same with regards to countries. If a band is touring the states there's a handful of states and provinces they will play just like the UK or European tours hitting certain cities.

Bon Jovi have been to Australia every world tour since Slippery... selling out large major venues in several states. They have also played a number of small free gigs for fans here.. one was filmed on Access All Areas. Even last time they were here they played a free gig in Sydney.

Howeever, When they toured on the Crush album they played a festival. And on the Bounce record.. they only played a POP festival in one state with the likes of Geri Helliwell and Shaggy also on the bill. They were on stage for alittle over an hour.

If anything.. they should have the money to tour here now, and it wont be 'out of there way' because in the past weve seen them sell out and announce extra shows here tour after tour in arenas and stadiums.

I think Australia would be up there as one of the biggest Jovi fan based countries in the world for our population. Its a shame they arnt touring here on the next album.. but by the decrease in shows over recent years it seemed evident.

Thierry... if BJ didnt tour your country you would do the same so dont complain about the petition.

Was that when Jimmy Barnes played as well? I thought JB opened for BJ at some point - do you know when that was?

I see

The JB website had a clip up with both of them on stage, but I see it is gone now

Nice reply from a man who lives in a country Bon jovi visit in each and every tour... Try living in Greece and you might be more supportive. It costs nothing but 2 minutes of your time and you know, it doesn't matter if they'll succeed or not, it's just about being supporting to fellow fans.
I live in Spain where if they tour it's just as an afterthought with the worst stages and sound ever. I don't think they'll visit Spain during their next tour, but I'd never start a petition or sign one. Sad, but tours don't depend all that much on the amount of people wanting to see a band.

Oh, and I moved this to the right forum!

Sure, the petition gets signed by thousands of people all over the world and when they decide to play there, they play in front of an empty house. Very clever.

Didn't they play in Australia in 2003 and it wasn't sold out by far?

If you have so much support from Radio stations and stuff how about these companys to pay BJ for coming? THIS would be support.
