I give up... I'll give it to you dude, if you want to argue this much then prehaps Richie didn't play one solo out of the entire tour. Sorry if I came out hard. But there has to be a reason why only at one or so show on the entire tour and only one song in the set that Richie didn't solo.
I agree with you here. The bottom line is, Richie must have thrown this backup guitarist a bone on one song's solo during one show - the Denver show. That's fair and entirely possible.

All I meant with my previous post was - there's no way Richie and the backup dude (I really don't give a crap what the guy's name is) were playing it together because my guitarist-friend who witnessed it live would have known this fact.

Don't know, just saying.

You guys are reading far too much into this guy playing an occasional solo.
Big Deal. We all know that bobby's a good guitarist, but we all know he's not richie.

Maybe jon's choice replacement but still not richie!

Let's try and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, ya'll. Obviously I have a hard time with it. Granted, I'll live with "Bobby" playing an occasional solo, but my problem lies with these dudes being up there in the first place. I'll let it go for the sake of this wonderful forum, but never forget....me don't likey.

I saw them on this tour in SJ and have seen plenty of vids from the tour to be absolutley sure that Bobby and Richie do not do any kind of double solo. Bobby usually strums chords during the verses and usually doubles up on the chorus and just does the chorus or the verse riffs in the background of richie solos. Although on one video I did see him do some finger tapping during Novocaine.
