You know absolutely NOTHING about me, or my up bringing. I worked for everything I have and have been on my own since I was 16 years old supporting myself. So, do not paint everyone with the same brush.

And as Kat, said, my statement was meant in relation to "entertainment" not world economies. And which homeless people have you helped lately? So, stop passing judgments on someone you don't even know.

$50 would get me a few tenners and a full case of beer.

I thinks that's enough of a reason to not be spending it on backstage.

Nice to see that someone has their priorities straight on this board

And I'm with Deb on this TheseDays2005. I'm not a fan of backstage as anyone that knows me will tell you - but I am a member. Don't sterotype all of us without knowing the facts.

I know something about you, you're hot (and your friend too)

It's a real shame they changed backstage to paid access only :{ man, I was banned from that place so many times, sometimes I was just posting normally too, not causing trouble. Meanies

homeless africans would probably be TD2005 answer....

Everytime this backstage issue comes up it always creates bad feeling, most of us were banned from bswjbj when it was an open board and we didnt even do anything, but were banned for being a JTer...

Backstage charges a lot for a fan club and what the memebers get . I have never belonged as I think it is poor quality. But know a few that choose to , each to their own, what you do with your money is your business.

BJ management should treat the fan club members better , with respect.

Hi Kat,

I belong to several FC's, as does my teenage son. I never objected to paying for any of them until, and it's a big until, Bon Jovi's FC's became a unknown quantity in terms of tickets -- at a much higher price and much greater inconvenience. As you mentioned, "ticketing opportunities" are why the majority join.

Jovi's FC is not being run like any other FC I know of, belong to or have ever belonged to. (That timeline goes back to the 60's <LOL>.) For example, the Stone's FC and Sugarland's FC, you could sign up for the FC on TicketMaster at the time you went to look for tickets. If you didn't find seats you wanted, you didn't have to buy the tickets or pay for the FC membership. The seats were a known quantity when you paid. They came in the mail or by UPS way before the shows.

When Jovi went to their supposed "buy online" (a joke in my opinion given how it operates), I just didn't bother renewing my membership. I know that was my choice. When it came time this tour to buy tickets, I did great without the FC.

I didn't have the heart to tell friends of mine that the people I knew sitting around them paid at least $100 less a ticket and no they paid no $50 FC fee.

I will admit that I sometimes miss the message board, but not enough to shell out $50 for it.

Have a great week,

Cathy
