They've banned the banners, but I guarant-damn-tee the traditional "I've seen Bon Jovi 2,563 times (and not payed for the last 2,400 of them)" banner will still be front and centre every UK gig.......

Aloha !

As if Matt is some sort of authority figure who can decide what's allowed to bring into a venue. I'm sure he'd love to think so and I'm sure would love to think so, but it's the venue who decides as to whether it's allowed. Not the brother of a lead singer.

If I'd be in that diamond circle I'd bring a banner asking why banners aren't allowed anymore.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

He has flipped the bird many times but I don't think it was at songs requests.

Without a doubt I can say that banners *can* piss him off to a level it could ruin a show....
The No banners restriction 'says' a lot of things ... but the main thing is that it shuts the band off from any interaction with the band ...no it shuts the fans off is more how it is ...
This said I hate banners on my face ...

Maybe Jon's told him to spread the news as he's getting pissed off with 1980s song requests when he's trying to be relevant and modern

Some girl who was in the fan club, helped with the queuing numbering system or something, when she was told she was not needed anymore she took and held up protest banners. Storm in a teacup, but an amusing one nonetheless

perhaps she thought by working for free for the Fan Club she'd get to meet the man himself. Saddo. Who would want to meet Matt?

This band, or Jon and his brother, are getting more and more detached from the fans. It's not enough that most of the die hards can't get anywhere near the stage without taking out a second mortgage, now then ban banners. Petty.

I went to 7 shows in Europe 2011, and because of the banners, I got:

Hey God (Mannheim)
Wild is the Wind (Vienna)
This Ain't a Love Song (San Sebastian)
I Believe (Lisbon)

Something to Believe in (Canada 2011), Stick to your guns (Amsterdam 200 ...

Jon, you are an a**hole. He's so surrounded by "yes people" that now he doesn't want to be bothered by critics and requests coming from the audience.

This tour is so lame so far ...
