There is no way that there wont be any banners at the European shows this summer.
Those things have to be planned in advance and the whole security has to be informed at every venue they are playing. And as far as my experience with security people goes, they are usually uninformed. During the LH tour some of them didn't even know that there was a fan club and that those people get early entry, so they wanted to open the gates for everybody.

Jon fired Matt, he said it in this interview that aired in an argentinian radio when he was asked about the banner issue by a fan:

It was a pretty heart-wrenching and emotional story. Jon said it was a really tough decision to fire him, and he told the story of how it happened. It was a story about two brothers, each no stranger to brotherly love. Jon said "Matt, you know the rules, and so do I." He went on to talk about how being co-CEO required a full commitment, and that Jon was putting in the commitment and you wouldn't get that from any other guy. He said Matt was pretty shaken up, and Jon said "Bro, I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling. I've got to make you understand!"

He went on to say how they'll always be brothers. How he'd never give him up, let him down, run around or desert him. He went on to say how he'd never make him cry, say goodbye, tell a lie, or hurt him.

Matt responded by talking about how long they've known each other. He confessed that his heart's been breaking, but he was too shy to say it. He said "Jon, inside we both know what's been going on. We know the game and we're going to play it."

Jon said "I know, and if you ask me how I'm feeling... Don't tell me you're too blind to see." And then they hugged and went their separate ways.
