There was this one time a girl in front of me held one for a couple of minutes, she wouldn't put it down, so someone behind me punched it down and it was gone... .
That' happened at a show I went too. There was a lady who held up this sign, the whole time and halfway through, a man two rows behind me, come over and just pulled it down, He literally climbed on chairs and lean over and doom, it came down and then he said much better. We cheered. She never held it up again.

How about banning tall guys or banning ppl who stand rather than
sit Maybe they shd ban behind the stage seats because ppl views are blocked
There are hundreds of bands touring and no one has a rule about no banners

Many venues don't allow them. I personally wouldn't want someone putting a sign up in front of me during the show. It's bad enough when you can't see because someone tall is in front of you.

Another post about fair is fair and rules are rules. Are you related to Iceman?

Anyone remember the one at the O2 which said:

"After all These Days...
...It's Hard Letting You Go"

And then they played BOTH because, whoever wrote that one, it was short and smart and subtle and clever! You're whole attitude, Stiggy Bongiovi, means that a moment as awesome as that one won't ever happen again.

But ignoring the backstager, what ****in' band has a policy of banning banners??!? Hell - if the venue does it, fine. But the BAND?!? After bragging for 30 years that they take requests from the audience and might play whatever, now they ban banners?!?! Really?! Not that I care much, but I find it absurd. Completely idiotic. And whoever argues in favour of the Matt Bongiovi police state is freakin' moron!

Good night.

Normally, I'm not into insulting anyone, band members or Jovi staff or fans.

Matt is a completely obnoxious, belligerent, arrogant, misguided, utter ****ing cock.

Seriously, he needs to remove himself from twitter or keep his account for personal stuff.

He's scared that someday he will see a BOBITA banner and realize that he has been screwing up by not playing that in every show. The guilt eats him alive.

So they claim that the handful of people, usually in the first few rows, are causing problems blocking people's view, yet they bring in these huge pillars that block the view for the hundreds/thousands of people sitting behind the stage? I don't see the problem in people still managing to get them in, but if Jon feels this way he'll never play off of them again regardless.

If he allows them in Europe and plays a bunch of rarities from them during the Euro leg I'll see this as just another slap in the face to his US fans. I don't know where this came from though, as he's usually embraced them.

The only act I remember complaining about a sign on stage was Paul McCartney. He did a little rant about how it's hard enough to sing, play, and perform at the same time and he didn't care if the sign holder's mother saw him at Shea Stadium. It was pretty funny.
