The new songs : hmm, ... never really bad but not one song that gets me excited.

Lost Highway, can't understand why all of you are hating that record so much. It sounded fresh, natural and still does. The songs are pretty easy listening but it was the first time i felt they delivered a post 2000 record where the did not really want to write an album for the charts but really something they are fond of themselves. The proof of it is the fact they keep on playing many tracks of that record.

That rock, midtempo, alround sound is really something they adopted since then and they seem to like it. I believe this will be their sound till they call it quits.

I prefer LH over the more 'trying to be contemporary' overproduced stuff.

Ha, he was pissed, that wasn't any acting there. At first he got pissed when Richie didn't hurry up, and then when Richie started joking around he got even more frustrated. I've never seen him look so angry for so long on stage.

All of the new material is boring. Jon must have been in an awful mood because usually he's more excited about his new music than what he showed yesterday and Richie is just plain bored.

I'm amazed at how you and so many other repeatedly make excuses for the band and even more so find it completely acceptable that it takes them nearly 3 years to figure out how to best play a song. If any one of us were that incompetent in our days jobs, we would not have one.

This is the biggest problem Bon Jovi are facing and it is not going to get better. Even if they write a decent song, it will never have power or sound well live night after night.

It just makes me laugh to hear Jon and Richie proclaim they are not a nostalgia tour and they will quit before they become one, etc.

I'm staying strong, or almost strong. Here's what posted on a different forum:
Quote:
I listened yesterday up to WLOL and that was enough for me. Jon sucked big time, three LH songs in the first six in the set are way too much plus I said that I won't listen to the album till it's released. Unfortunately there are four exceptions:
BWC - I thought I should listen to the new single (bad idea I tought after the first listen but now I'm glad because I've probably heard the worst one already!)
WAN - I accidentaly heard it in the documentary so I decided yesterday to listen to it and see/hear if it is better than BWC (it is).
Nor Running Anymore and Old Habits Die Hard because I didn't know they would be on the album. They don't belong there anyway. For example, I haven't heard the acoustic performance of The Fighter, because it was announced to be on the album. So I won't listen to the rest, good news is that some people I can trust on their opinions like some of the new ones. Maybe finally a reason to look forward to the album?
Kuba, my partner in crime of not listening, what about you? I hope the temptation hasn't got you yet!

I don't think he was pissed at Richie at all. It's hardly his fault if the engineers balls up and lose power to his equipment. Nobody likes lulls between songs and tbh, the crowd were sh*te and Jon didn't like the fact that there was uncomfortable silence.

He may have been quietly willing Richie to sort out the issues but his disgruntlement, in my opinion, was with the pathetically low key audience. The interaction during Bad Name was embarassing.
