Well, what this really shows is a few things:

1.Bon Jovi are not immune to the struggling economy.
2.Richie's absence, regardless of what Jon thinks, is hurting the band.
3.The majority of fans don't care for the new record.

What surprises me more than anything is that fans from Europe seem to be sick of the shows. If anything, idiots like me in the US should stop spending money on the same damn set lists of a show year after year. But now, it seems even Europe is.

When you forget your past how can you have a future? They have to return to their old sound, the new records disappointed the fans too. These Days was a masterpiece and now we had a country rock album. Really? What the f*ck? This is unfair for Bon Jovi too. I wonder if Jon's release that and get the band back on their old killer routes. Bruce indeed tours a lot but he is also has to provide something different every time. Bon Jovi got the same setlist again and again in a repeat. The only difference in every show is that they add another 'hit' (regarding Jon) single in the set. They forgot about the pre slippery stuff as much as about the pre Lost Highway stuff. If you ask me I'd love to listen to songs from the Boxset, from the whole discography but not the same, yes you can keep Prayer, Bad Name Wanted, Medicine, and all these killers ballads but you need to put some different songs than the usual in your sets too.

Fact is, they are not making new fans and now they are losing the old ones. They're in freefall, I really hope it hits home.
I think the tour was too close to the end of the last one. And here in the US the ticket prices are really high and I never had a chance to *miss* them - I mean it was 2011 when I saw them and could have seen them again in less that 2 years.

Also for me while I like some songs I don't LOVE any, they just reek of Jon's growing political voice. Usually it is muffled but this time it is so cheesey it is hard to ignore. I am sure most was written while he was campaigning for Obama.

And the fact is I was at their Great Hits tour last time - give me something new that speaks to me and I will come back. I feel the record was rushed, the tour was rushed and it shows.

Europe may be different than here in the States.

I love Lost Highway... I think is is a nice change and has some good songs on it. These guys are not in their 20s or 30s their sound is going to mature but I think Jon is really playing it safe with the stuff on the Circle and What About Now in particular.

I like a few of the songs but they seem to be factory churned versus custom made if that makes sense.

I like their new stuff too, but comparing the new stuff with their best "These Days" there's no record really close to it. And if These Days is an album of the 90s lets go to Bounce which is recorded in 00s it might wasn't a commercialy successful album but IMO it's better than the rest of the albums that they have released. They need to give to the fans something that they'll bring them back, something really fresh and unique. They did it in the 80s, they did it in the 90s, they did it in the 00s why can't they do it in their 10s? It's their fourth decade they still got it, I think that JBJ (w/o blaming him) needs to give some space to the rest of the band members too. And please someone fire Bobby Bandiera & John Shanks. Bring back Luke Ebbin or Bob Rock, but not John Shanks, he SUCKS! Why don't they create an album written just by the band members and maybe Desmond too? With a proper producer it might be good.

Moving to a venue almost 4 times smaller is just not right.

But let's face it, the tour as a whole ain't that good. Not as much as regards the performances but it started bad from the first day. The band had to reschedule their first show cause of snow. Later in April, Richie decides to quit the tour cause of personal reasons (he has to makea statement about it). It's not right...

This is the state of BJ 2013. Wonder how they will make this mess of a tour to the "No1 touring act" ....

If that is no sign for the decline I do not know anymore...
Even in Germany the fans leave the sinking ship.....
The last tours were far from sold out in Europe but now it starts to get real embarrassing.....

You are blowing this WAY out of proportion and clearly, you don't know what you are talking about. While there can be no doubt about the fact that Bon Jovi's popularity in Europe has decreased in recent years, they never were that popular in eastern Germany to begin with. Even at the peak of their popularity and commercial success in Europe, in the mid-1990s to 2000, they never even attempted to play a bigger venue in Berlin than the Walbühne. Instead, they played Walbühne (granted, twice) in 1995 and once in 2000 while selling out stadiums with more than twice the capacity for two nights in a row in Bremen and Cologne. While you're overall argument is valid, the sales for this summer's Berlin show can be no indication for this.
