Much better than the crap they were closing with this time around
agree. prayer is one of those few songs which is a great opener and ender for a bj show ...either tho i think that WDOA and KTF are great enders too...

Keep the Faith was amazing at SBE but I think Never say Goodbye at cardiff on the one wild night tour just has that edge. It was even better than the version at hyde park!

my favourite last song was definately this ain't a love song in 1996- i was 12 and it was my first concert... the show was incredible and this ain't a love song was amazing at the end...
i also liked "treat her right" jon solo in 98- unexpected and the crowd went wild
these days in 2000 and this year also really did the trick

I agree ending with prayer makes the show really special for me, cos its what most of the crowd are looking forward to hearing live. It was a great finisher at Mk 01. Apart from that I liked it when they ended with this aint a love song on the these days tour, when jon threw his microphone to the side and fell to his knees, loved that!!

Were you in SBE? Wow, I didn't know that!

To the topic, I really don't know. None of the concerts I've seen has ended with Prayer but I agree that it would make a great closer. I'd rather like a concert to end with a party song than a ballad like NSG. Saturday Night in Turku 2000 was a good closer, I left a good feeling (it was a saturday ) but I don't know if it was the best.

funnily enough i actually think this ain't a love song was a great finish to Manchester 96 even though i'm more of your "go out in a bang" fan

but MK 2001 was just everything the earlier shows in the UK on that tour had not been

actually 2000 was a very short set and not many surprises but KTF is a great way to end a show also

NSG was nice in that i hadn't heard it live before but i don't think acoustic songs are the best way to end a show.

i'm sure there is one show (osaka '87 perhaps) where the band closed on let it rock

Yay Kev! - I forgot they closed with KTF at SBE! - Yes, that was totally amazing, and NSG at Cardiff coz it was just so impromptu. I can't choose which out of those two was the best.

They used to close with KTF a lot on the Crush tour and it didn't have the same impact, apart from SBE, it's usually much better early on in the set.

Never Say Goodbye is a great closer, but it is a tad predictable to close the big shows with.. bet Giants gets it this year

Well Bon Jovi made me cry 2 times and those songs were the best finnisher in my opinion

- Never say goodbye in HP 2003 (last european show, amazing night)

- I'll be there for you Munchen 2001 (amazing night, last show of the european tour and the crowd kept on going)
