Front of the O2 last year was great but best for me - Top of the Pops II Bon Jovi special at Elstree studios. Got to hang with the band all day, small room, close proximity etc.
Only drawback was that they lip synched through most of the songs - although then did a live acoustic Livin on a Prayer to finish, which was awesome.
