It's like the whole "upgrade to first class flights" thing. If you get offered it, then fine, take it - but to be actively ASKING for it........
How about not bitching at everyone for taking advantage of what is, ultimately, a poorly organised system introduced by the band/venue management.

If you have complaints to make, how about approaching the people responsible instead of whining on here. If I were you I'd feel aggrieved too... but then I wouldn't have paid the stupidly inflated prices in the first place, so I struggle to sympathise.

I fail to see how Walkerboy is whining or bitching?????

He is merely pointing out that people shouldnt buy the cheaper tickets with the expectation of the upgrade.....when others have paid full price to get the better seats. Dont get me wrong I too would take full advantage of an upgrade if I was offered it.
Yes ticket prices are crazy and that is down to the promoters etc. It is their stuff up and due to the lack of sale the band/venue/whoever is choosing to upgrade people inside.
It is a shame they didnt think about out pricing the fans in the first place, they would of sold more tickets resulting in no upgrades resulting in this conversation never happening.

I've got my expensive tickets ready, but getting worried now. Shall I expect some trailer trash seating next to me?

Is it a badge of honour to have a more expensive ticket now?

I didnt buy any tickets expecting an upgrade, I just took advantage of what they were offering- all the other shows I did so far I have been in the gods and been quite happy with it. If I didnt get an upgrade last night, fair enough I was happy enough where my seat was. I happened to get lucky, but I already bought mty tickets well in advance- the upgrade business only came to light on Monday after the first gig.

Maybe it is common practice at gigs that havent sold out, I dont know. Its new territory for Jovi with this sort of pricing structure and an all seated gig in the UK.

Instead of slagging off the lucky people who got an upgrade, try directing it at the management who priced it too high leading for so many good empty seats which needed to be filled.

He openly admitted he was ranting.

Oh, and the fact you put that line in that I've highlighted kind of obliterates your trying to defend his stance on the matter. You, I and anyone able to do so would obviously take advantage of a situation like this if it presented itself.

It's BJ Management that created this mess so why vent at the people willing to use some initiative is all I'm saying?

As far as I'm concerned you have got to be FRICKIN' STOOPID AND FOOLISH to not ask for upgrades when you KNOW they're happily giving them out.

And why the hell are people moaning about REAL FANS WHO WILL BE AT THE FRONT, MEANING JON WILL SEE THE DELIGHT ON THEIR FACES WHEN THEY PLAY RARITIES THERFORE KEEP ON PLAYING THEM?

Fools!

No, it's a matter of getting what you pay for.

Got 20 quid? You'll see Jon looking as tall as a ****ing ant.
Sold a kidney (like I had to)? You'll be down at the front with the cool kids.

Back in the segregation days, none of this crap would have gone down.
