But the opportunity to BUY a ticket near the front is what some of us fans have to rely on.
After all, those of us who have young families, who can't get a babysitter and aren't members of the "waste of money" fanclub, won't ever get another opportunity to be this close.
Next year it will be stadiums, where the floor will be fanclub pit and general admission. My wife and I won't be able to get any decent spots for those shows because of our family commitments, and I've already mentioned how AEG falsely promote the Gold Seats.

So, because we won't go next summer, we know that this is our last chance. Yes, it's costing us £400+, but that's just one of those things.
If we were going more than once this week, or if we knew we could get front spots next summer it would be the cheap tickets tonight.

Maybe, just maybe, Jon & Co have got bored of seeing the same damn faces EVERY night. It's probably a nice change to see someone different on the front row and in the front blocks.

God.... I'm getting nervous about tonight..... Can't wait!!

But you paid your money and have that guaranteed spot you wanted. There's no guarantees with buying a cheap seat and hoping to find an upgrade so the difference is you know where you'll be sitting. If there was any unhappiness on your part in paying the prices for the tickets, you shouldn't have bought them but to complain now seems a bit 'sour grapes' to me.

Everyone on here was saying for months that they would never succeed in selling out those shows based on the hyper-inflated prices of the pit and floor seats but some people, like yourself, chose to buy anyway. That's no grounds to complain at people lucky (or sensible) enough to wait and receive upgrades. Like I said, the system does suck now that it's common knowledge of its existence but your anger would be better vented at those making the decisions.

I'm not angry.... just wish people would be a little more subtle i.e. don't go asking - wait for the offer!

I was thinking about it the other day when i bought a pit ticket.I'm not a FC member and i always thought people who seated inside the circle were from FC members.

But surely you understand the mentality behind it. If people know they are available, the urge is not to wait to be offered them but to seek them out. I agree it would be better if the staff told anyone who 'asked' to go away but that's not going to happen because otherwise they get accused of being unfairly selective over who gets them.

as most of you know I got upgrade which was amazing.... tier to front row circleside.

I didnt ask and was offered, I think I might have been the first one to get an upgrade on JT... Had I known there were upgrades going I might well have asked anyway..

The only reason we know there are upgrades is because of the BJ community we have created.

I would rather any of us get an upgrade whether we ask or not compared to a casual fan.

I was just happy to be going to O2, upper tier tickets just as long as I was there have been all over in arenas including some very high up seats. When I heard about people getting upgraded was really pleased for them I have 3 kids and know how it is a struggle to go to concerts good job I have a husband who knows what Bon Jovi mean to me.I would of happily hung round to see if I could get an upgrade and if not would have still enjoyed the show, at last minute pit seats got massively reduced so got them because of people on the boards always keeping other fans upto date, coud see some empty seats lower tier and cant see why people would moan about them filling them up from people further back at least they would give a better atmosphere.

I am going again this Tuesday and these are my supposed good seats. Im in Block 118 near the back of the block.

I am wondering if its worth trying my luck for an upgrade.

If i see somebody with lots of tickets, i will ask them where my seat is or try and make conversation with them. And see if im offered better seats.

I just searched and there are 6 Seats available seats 1-6 Row C block A1 so there are seats available.

I am gutted i missed out on the £100.00 pit tickets, i would have definately snapped one of those up. Also gutted about the £5.00/10.00 tickets.

I have been checking several times each day incase they release more!

It is worth asking, at the end of the day if you know it's happening, you may as well try and benefit from it.

I already had lower tier tickets for 17th when the cheaper pit tickets were released. We decided we should go for the pit, so when we got to the o2 (we had our old tickets with us), we went up to the upper tier and gave our tickets away for free so someone else could benefit from them. (I don't have money to throw away, but when ticketmaster were at that point selling tickets for £5 I could hardly charge much for them). We were lucky enough to find 2 girls who were there for their birthdays, and one of them had vertigo so sitting up the top was rubbish for them. Just glad the tickets didn't go to waste.
