Ok, I've only been to 5 Bon Jovi shows, but I've never once seen the opening act, because they have never been anyone well known. I STILL don't know who opened at the Jan 30, 2006 Toronto concert.

I would have loved to have seen MB20 or Nickelback open.

And I think Daughtry would be a great opener. I'd also vote for Hinder.

As for Big & Rich, until Lost Highway, I'd never heard of them before. It is just 2 guys? Or a full band?

But, to be honest, I don't care who opens, I just hope I'll get to a show next tour.

That's how I feel too. I've never gone to a Bon Jovi show or not gone to a Bon Jovi show based on who the opening act was. I don't care if it's a polka band. The opening act is a bonus attraction, not an incentive for me to go.

Going back to an earlier post about Big & Rich getting bottles thrown at them etc, someone said that would never happen. And hopefully not. But all the mentions of Nickleback remind me of Hampden last year, and they got plenty of verbal from a large number in the crowd , who thought they were too cheesy or basically crap. I could see Big & Rich getting the same treatment...

Fans saying or thinking that the opening band is to chessy, and the opening act getting verbal abuse from the fans. that could happen easily.
But Bon Jovi fans thinking another band is too chessy. Well Damn.

I'm one of the ones who hate Nickelback, though I didn't go to the length of throwing anything at them though ... honest

It still mystifies me why one of my friends after seeing them support Jovi has now become a NB nut and is in Canada seeing about 6/7 shows.

I thought they were below average at best and mediocre at worst.
