Default Big dilemma, need your help...

So...

I've never seen Bon Jovi before, but I'm about to. As I said before, I'm gonna be traveling from Lithuania to London to see them in 6/26 in O2. The very next day, I'm going to see Paul McCartney in Hyde Park. Everything would be ideal, but there's one thing. We haven't booked flying tickets yet, so I'm thinking...Maybe I should go to 6/25 show as well? God knows if Jon will ever bring his band somewhere near my area, and I have a chance to see them twice in one trip. But I'm thinking - do I really want that? Keeping in mind that I've never seen Bon Jovi before and I'm going to McCartney in 6/27, wouldn't 3 shows in 3 days be too much for me? I'm sure I could handle 2 straight shows, but 3? Isn't that too much? Is there a possibility that I might be really burnt out during McCartney's show, especially when it's a festival? I'm asking someome who has been to 3 shows in a row, is it exausting? Cause I'm about to see 2 acts I've been dreaming to see forever and would 3 big shows in a row decrease my overall impression of each show? Also, there's a money thing, to go to 25th I'd have to order tickets once again, they're expensive and the delivery isn't cheap, plus I've heard stories about expensive public transport in London. Money isn't such a big issue if it's worth it, but if it might damage my overall impression, I don't wanna pay more for that.

So, finally, do you advise me to go to 6/25 O2 show?

No. You're in London anyway, you can stay in bed the next day for as long as you want to. Go for it.

Last time Bon Jovi played in London and did 2 shows at Twickenham Stadium I did a Whitesnake show a night before. I got home at 12, got home (as in back at the hotel) at 2 at night after the first Bon Jovi and got home at 6 in the morning after the second Bon Jovi show. I felt a bit ****ed the last day but we had good fun. I got out of bed at 11, high on adrenaline because of the fantastic holiday I had there. You might feel a bit wasted when you get home, but there's nothing you won't survive.

You've never seen Bon Jovi before, you'll want more after your first show, and by doing the show on the 25th you can get just that on the show on the 26th. McCartney might be billed as a festival, but he'll be doing a 2,5 hour show and you'll love every minute of your holiday there. And a good concert or seeing one of your favourite acts for the first time is a bit priceless. And public transport in London is cheap anyway.

Go for it.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Of course you need to see Bon Jovi twice on your trip. Otherwise, you´d regret it afterwards. No need to worry about getting exhausted, it´s not as if you were about to run a marathon or something

I'm with Seb - go for it. I have seen many more than 2 or 3 shows in a row, and I'm a hell of a lot older. If you've not seen them before at all - for sure you will want to see more than one.

Money is always an issue but since the bulk of it is already spent and you are only adding a single show I would definitely do it.

It's up to you of course. But if you may not get lots of chances to see the band and money isn't a big issue, then I'd say go for it. You might be tired but it'll be good tired.

Go damn it!

It's better to regret going at all then regret never going. I think so anyway.

Allright, guys!
After thinking a while and considering your unanimous advices i decided to GO to the 25th as well If anything goes wrong, it's all your fault!

With all honesty, thanks for all your answers, they encouraged me to decide to do it. Let's just hope FedEx don't screw up the delivery.

Seb, please add me to the list of people attending 6/25 show

Congrats on making a decision! I think Kathleen is right. I am a lot older than you, and I just did 3 shows in a row on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of one week. THEN, Thursday the next week, I saw Bon Jovi. So that's what, 4 concerts in 8 days. I loved it and I'd do it again next week if the opportunity presented itself.

You made the right choice. I've done crazy amounts of shows in a very short time period, and I find if you love the artists, it's worth it. Most memorable is probably in July of 08, I did: Bon Jovi on the 12th (which was an 18 hour experience in Central Park), Bon Jovi on the 14th, Bon Jovi on the 15th, and Billy Joel on the 16th.

You should try doing a weekend festival, now that will leave you exhausted!
