Default Billboard - December 20, 2008

I just got a quick look at this issue (actually a double issue) of Billboard covering "The Year in Music & Touring." There's a big spread on Bon Jovi in honor of the Lost Highway tour being the biggest tour of the year.

Is it worth picking up a copy?

I'm going to buy a copy. (I stopped at Barnes & Noble on the way home, but they didn't have it yet.) One of the attorneys at the firm subscribes, and it was his copy that I looked at briefly. The article goes on for several pages, but I didn't have time to read it. There were quite a few photos. There are a lot of industry ads congratulating the band, and most of those also have photos in them. I didn't even get back to all the charts showing the stats for touring for the year. A word of warning -- this issue is more expensive than usual, because it is a double issue -- $12.99 US instead of the usual $6.99.

If you've seen the issue that came out at the time the box set was released, this is similar except that BJ isn't on the cover.

Thanks for letting us know. It sounds like an issue worth buying.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably check it out (planned to go to Borders anyway). I still have a copy of the 20 some page spread they did for Bon Jovi in 2004 and I thought it was pretty neat.

I wish I'd been able to look at it longer, but I didn't want to keep it from its rightful owner. Of course, had I known that I couldn't buy one yet, I might not have been so honorable! LOL Hopefully I haven't overstated anything due to my quick look.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll see if I can get a copy when I'm in town later. Or whenever they get it in

My local bookstore didn't have it when I when I went there the other day. Does anyone know how long the issue will be on news stands before the next issue comes out?

I found it at Borders today, Alana. When I called yesterday, they still didn't have it. This is a year-end double issue that's for sale for 2 weeks instead of the usual 1. The cover says "Display until January 3, 2009."

Terri, thanks for the help! If I can dodge traffic again I'll check back in Borders.
